Danielle Moylan Danielle started practicing yoga over a decade ago in Austra- lia, learning mainly from DVDs and online resources due to a hectic travel and work schedule. It was not until she discov- ered and began learning the ashtanga primary series that she committed to a daily practice and began to understand the full potential of yoga in life on and off the mat. After an extended time studying ashtanga in Bali under Anthony “Prem” Carlisi, one of the first Western ashtanga practitioners to study with Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, and his soulmate and fellow teacher, Radha, Danielle learned the subtleties and emotional and physical demands of the ashtanga asana practice. Since then she has returned to Bali to continue studying with Prem and Radha and has also studied with many other KPAJYI certified and authorized teachers in Spain, Japan, Norway, the US and elsewhere, including Eileen Hall and Tim Miller, all of whom have greatly informed her teaching. In 2014, Danielle gained her RYT teacher certificate and began teaching in Afghanistan, where she was living at the time, and has continued teaching mainly vinyasa ever since, with a emphasis on building strength to meet both physical and mental challenges that arise during class. She moved to Beirut in January 2018 and began teaching here shortly after, bringing a fun, energetic and strong style into the shala. Her classes encourage students to work hard, not take themselves too seriously, and discover through yoga how healthy and strong they are.
