MBS Residential undertakes all types of work from
mansion block and estate refurbishments, to new
developments and luxury renovations.
Thanks to our track record within this sector and our
proven ability to deliver mansion block refurbishment
projects, MBS Residential were appointed to
undertake a series of major projects at the Danes
and Empire Estate in Wembley. Over seven phases
we have successfully completed works to all eight
blocks of occupied flats on the estate and have been
retained to undertake future general maintenance
and dilapidations works.

Working closely with our client and their design team,
MBS have refurbished the estate over seven phases
to create an attractive, secure and sustainable
private residential development of 325 occupied flats.
Our works across the eight blocks now totals
£2.8 million and has included:
External Works
• Roof renewals
• Window replacements
• Concrete repairs
• Brickwork repairs
• Replacement of rainwater goods
• External decorations
• Asbestos removal
• Replacement of all waste pipes
Internal Common Parts
• New front entrance doors
• Electrical and lighting installations
• Fire alarm installations
• Plaster repairs
• Renewal of floorings
• Renewal of carpentry (architraves & skirting)
• Decorations
• Asbestos removal
The Works

The estate now provides
attractive, secure and sustainable
housing with upgraded roofs, windows, front entrance doors and modernised communal areas
All of the works were completed within and around
325 occupied flats. Key to the successful delivery
of all seven phases was our continual liaison and
communication with the residents of the Danes and
Empire Estate.
As a specialist in the delivery of major works
projects to occupied mansion blocks, our approach
to help minimise disruption for the residents included:
• The appointment of a Liaison Officer to act as a
single point of contact for the residents
• The implementation of a Charter that outlined our
on-site values and operative responsibilities
• Continual communication with residents via
information newsletters, public meetings and the
formation of steering groups
To help minimise security issues whilst the works
were being undertaken we also implemented the
following initiatives:
• Photographs and contact details of our site
management team were distributed to all residents
prior to the commencement of all phases of
the works
• All our staff and operatives (including
subcontractors) were issued with
a unique photo identification card
• All our staff and operatives

branded clothing
Resident Liaison & Security
Key to the successful delivery of all seven phases was our continual liaison and communication with the residents
MBS Residential is one of three trading divisions
within MBS Contracting Services. We are a main
contractor operating throughout London and the
South East of England, undertaking refurbishment,
new build and fit out projects within the residential,
commercial and education sectors.

architects, surveyors and project managers to
complete high quality conversion, refurbishment
and new build projects on a wide range of prime
residences, listed buildings, and commercial properties.
To ensure that we can provide the highest levels of
quality, service and value to our clients, each division
employs specialist staff with construction knowledge
and qualifications specific to each market sector.
Our approach is based on listening to our clients
to understand from the outset what they actually
want from the construction process so we are able
to tailor our service to meet those particular needs.
