Explore Sorrento!

Here's a fun day hike recommendation:

Castledemare - a short train ride from Sorrento - get off at the station and make your way tothe cable car along the station platform. Stunning journey up the mountain with fabulous viewsof Naples Bay - on arrival at the top, stop for a coffee at the cafe and then ask the receptionstaff about the walk to the church (can't remember name).

It is a walk of about 1 hour through a small village and then pine groves - all up hill to a churchat the top - stunning views on a clear day, and a very pretty church to cap it all. I hardly saw asoul there and back - so different from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento.

What You Can Expect!;

Enjoy a fabulous day on board of a yacht sailing along the Sorrento coast. You will pass by theprotected bay of Jeranto, Nerano village and the Island of Li Galli, along with Positano andAmalfi. After a pick up from your hotel, transfer to the port of Sorrento and depart for afabulous tour on board a yacht. Sail along the coast of Sorrento. See the Bay of JerantoNature Preserve, Nerano, a charming fishing village and the famous island of Li Galli.Continue on to Positano for your first stop of the day. Wine Tour

After your visit sit back in the vehicle and allow our knowledgeable chauffeurs to take you toCantine del Vesuvio, tour focused on education, history. Visitors are welcomed by theattentive and efficient staff and can then enjoy the wonderful silence around them and store upmemories for the future. It is a family farm, with a shared sense of dedication. The dishes areprepared with love and care, using local ingredients. They make the sauce with little tomatoesfrom the own garden and superb virgin olive oil. The durum wheat pasta comes from thehistoric “Pastificio Setaro”, while the bruschetta is made in bread oven. Together with hams,salamis and cheeses, you have all you need for a delicious and healthy lunch with of course ataste of 6 different wine and grappa, and after be inebriated by the roman history and thewine, drive back to your location.

This is a wine tour I had clients use a few years ago. The price is $240 per person. We canalso do a similar group tour for $110 per person. It's a great day and once in a lifetimeexperience!

This is really easy to do independently and you won't need advance reservations.

Go to the Marina Grande's port where you can purchase tickets for tours of the island by seaor buy a roundtrip ticket to the Blue Grotto at the ticket offices of the Motoscafisti and LaserCapri charter companies. If you purchase the "Island Tour by Sea + Stop at the Grotto", thetour boat will take you on a complete tour of the entire island including a stop at the entranceto the Blue Grotto. Here you will have to disembark from your tour boat and take one of thesmall rowboats to enter the cave itself.
