Trombay Symposium on Radiation & Photochemistry (TSRP)
The biennial “Trombay Symposium on Radiation & Photochemistry”,
popularly known as TSRP, is being arranged for the past 22 years. The
objective of TSRP is to provide a fertile ground for intense discussion on new
research areas in Radiation and Photochemistry. Since inception, TSRP has
been playing a unique role in bringing together not only the experts but also
young researchers in both the areas, yielding fruitful discussions and setting
the course of future direction. Over the years the popularity of this forum,
where the subtle nuances of Radiation & Photochemistry are discussed
under a single roof, has grown tremendously. This is evident from the
overwhelming participation from many countries, such as USA, UK, Japan,
Canada, Germany, Taiwan, France, Poland, Netherlands etc.
The main topics are designed to include a wide range of subjects
involving both fundamental aspects as well as applications of Radiation &
Photochemistry. The proceeding of the symposium will constitute keynote
addresses, invited talks, and presentation of contributory papers as posters.
Prime importance will be given for discussion after each presentation to
promote the exchange of information and ideas.
Scientific Scope
Fundamental radiation chemical issues for advanced nuclear energy systems
Radiation processing
Ultrafast spectroscopy & dynamics in condensed phases
Gas phase reaction kinetics, dynamics and atmospheric photochemistry
Single molecule spectroscopy and fluorescence microscopy

About Mumbai: Mumbai, previously known as
Bombay, is located on India’s central western coast
along the Arabian Sea. Mumbai it self is an island
connected by several bridges to the main land. Mumbai
is the one of the most modern yet ancient city of India. It
is the commercial and entertainment capital of India.
The city offers a cosmopolitan and diverse lifestyle with
a variety of food, entertainment and night life, available
in a form and abundance comparable to that in other
world capitals. This mega cosmopolitan city is a city of
contrasts. People of various caste, culture, and religion
inhabit the city, and due to this diversification the
customs, languages, and even the food is of infinite
variety. Gateway of India, Hanging Gardens, Nehru
Science Centre, Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Kanheri
Caves, Film City, Chowpatty, Juhu, beaches, and
Esselworld of Water Kingdom are some attractions that
provide enough glimpses of Mumbai’s heritage.
