In order to effectively design a pressurised sewer network for the transport of domestic slurry, information about its rheology (viscosity) is required. This will provide basic information about the flow of slurries. This study will focus on measuring the viscosity of Concentrated Domestic Slurry (CDS) at various temperatures and solid concentration. Fig. 1: Pilot system DeSaH Fig. 2: Rheometer Experimental description The experiments will be performed using the slurry collected from a pilot system (Fig. 1) in DeSaH B.V. (Leeuwarden). A rheometer (Fig. 2) will be used to determine the viscosity of the slurry. This will be performed at various solid concentrations and temperatures. Requirement This project will require few specific skills and knowledge: 1. Basic fluid mechanics 2. Good laboratory skills
