Size units can be indicated in inch, mil or mm. 2.2 D-code list The D-code list must contain the assignment of all existing D-codes of a Gerber file to a geometrical shape and to a mechan- ical size. 2.2.1 Example 2.3 Limits D10, ..., D999 may be assigned to tools. D0, ..., D9 must not be assigned to tools. The smallest sensible aperture is 0.1 mm. 2.4 Rules 1.) There must be a D-code list for each Gerber file. 2.) Each D-code must only be assigned once. 3.) The D-code list must not contain any macros. 4.) The apertures must not be rotated. 3.0 Note For generating filled areas, the largest possible D-code should be used. A D-code with a size of 0.2 mm is recommended. The mini- mum size is 0.1 mm. 4.0 Cross-refer- ences (Hyperlinks) „Gerber [S.116]” D-code Shape (mm) D-code Shape (mm) D 30 Square 0.1 D 27 Circle 1.3 D 40 Square 0.2 D 28 Circle 1.4 D 10 Square 0.3 D 29 Circle 1.5 D 20 Square 0.4 D 31 Circle 1.6 D 48 Square 1.62 D 32 Circle 1.7 D 11 Circle 0.1 D 33 Circle 1.8 D 12 Circle 0.2 D 34 Circle 2.0 D 13 Circle 0.25 D 36 Circle 2.2 D 14 Circle 0.3 D 37 Circle 2.4 D 16 Circle 0.4 D 38 Circle 2.6 D 17 Circle 0.5 D 39 Circle 2.8 D 18 Circle 0.6 D 41 Circle 3.0 D 19 Circle 0.7 D 42 Circle 3.2 D 21 Circle 0.8 D 43 Circle 3.6 D 22 Circle 0.9 D 15 Heat 1.6 D 23 Circle 1.0 D 25 Heat 2.0 D 24 Circle 1.1 D 35 Heat 2.8 D 26 Circle 1.2 D 49 Cross 2.8 DCodeLst.1 16.08.1996 / li-Wi --

in a Gerber file. The D code-list is indispensable for the CAMprocessing of the CAD data.

2.0 Gerber files Definitions and structure: see Document Gerber [S.116].
