GOOD REASONS TO
Hav ing a rest in Kühtai
INNSBRUCK TREKAnyone wanting to experience the impressive diversity of the
Innsbruck region on foot, in just a few days and without sacrificing
comfort, the Innsbruck Trek is the perfect option.
The starting point is the city’s landmark – the Golden Roof in the heart
of Innsbruck. The hustle and bustle of the Old Town is quickly left
behind as the Karwendel mountains lure you up with clear mountain
air and a hike along the slopes of the Nordkette. On the Mieming
Plateau you will encounter legendary larch meadows before the
journey to Kühtai continues into the impressive Stubai Alps. Passing
the mountaineering villages of St. Sigmund and Gries im Sellrain, the
trail leads to Axamer Lizum with a view of the bizarre rocky pinnacles
of the Kalkkögel. The last stage of the circular tour takes you along
the Zirbenweg trail on the Patscherkofel mountain back to where the
urban flair of mountain sports drifts through the streets: Innsbruck.
