Delft University of Technology Cytostretch is a modular pla*orm that can be customized for different Organ-on-Chip (OOC) models. This is based on conven5onal semiconductor micro-fabrica5on. The device can be used to mechanically s5mulate cardiomyocytes in vitro. Moreover, Cytostretch is provided with a micro-electrode array (MEA). Here we present the latest results towards the industrializaDon of the Cytostretch plaEorm realized in the framework of the European InForMed project. The producDon version allows for parallel screening, and is compa5ble with standard readout equipment. Finally, the molded package, fabricated with a film assisted molding technology, comprises the plasDc well where the cardiomyocytes are cultured and it isolates electrically the interconnecDon between the MEA and the PCB during incubaDon. The biocompa5bility of the new molded package was proven by seeding on it iPSC-derived Cardiomyocytes. Pluricyte® Cardiomyocytes in Molding-compound (G700LTD) precondi5oned media: Lower cell density in the cells culture in precondiDoned medium. Calcium transients were observed in all condiDons suggesDng cells are beaDng. Control Plate Precondi5oned Medium Lower cell density was observed in the cell culture on the Cytostretch device. While the cardiomyocytes appeared normal, no calcium transients were observed. Future tests will invesDgate the causes (maturity/ funcDonality/..). Pluricyte® Cardiomyocytes on Cytostretch aRer 7 days – Molding compound: EME-G770HP Type A Two different molding compounds have been tested: G700LTD and: EME-G770HP Type A.
