COTTON : Synthetic pyrethroids must ONLY be applied to cotton during the period 1 January to 28 February. ALL OTHER CROPS : DO NOT apply more than two applications per growing season. If a pyrethroid gives poor performance DO NOT respray with any synthetic pyrethroid, even at a corrective dosage rate. Use a product from a different chemical group. Handle with care. Poisonous when swallowed and moderately toxic by skin contact. Toxic to fish and bees and moderately toxic to wild life. FLAMMABLE - Do not store or spray near open flames. Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals. Store in a cool place away from food and feedstuff. Re-entry interval: Do not enter treated field within 1 day after application unless wearing protective clothing. AERIAL APPLICATION: Notify all inhabitants of the immediate area to be treated and issue the necessary warnings. Do not spray over or allow drift to contaminate water or adjacent areas. Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions the registration holder does not warrant that it will be efficacious under all conditions because the action and effect thereof may be affected by factors such as abnormal soil, climatic and storage conditions; quality of dilution water, compatibility with other substances not indicated on the label and the occurrence of resistance of the pest to the remedy concerned, as well as by the method, time and accuracy of application. The registration holder furthermore does not accept responsibility for damage to crops, vegetation, the environment or harm to man or animal, or for lack of performance of the remedy concerned due to failure of the user to follow the label instructions, or to the occurrence of conditions which could not have been foreseen in terms of the registration. Consult the supplier or registration holder in the event of any uncertainty.

PRECAUTIONS Wear a hat, face shield, cotton overalls and boots when applying the spray mixture. When preparing the spray mixture wear in addition a respirator and rubber gloves. Avoid skin contact by, and inhalation of the spray mist. Avoid contact with eyes. Wash with soap and water immediately after accidental skin contact. Wash overalls daily. Do not eat, drink or smoke while using, or before having washed hands and face. Prevent drift of spraymist onto other crops, grazing, rivers, dams and areas not under treatment. Clean applicator after use and dispose of wash water where it will not contaminate crops, grazing, rivers or dams. Prevent contamination of food, feed, drinking water and eating utensils. Invert the empty container over the spray or mixing tank and allow to drain for at least 30 seconds after the flow has slowed down to a drip. Thereafter rinse the container three times with a volume of water equal to a minimum of 10 % of that of the container. Add the rinsings to the contents of the spray tank before destroying the container in the prescribed manner. Destroy empty container by perforation and flattening and bury away from water courses. Do not re-use for any other purpose. SYMPTOMS OF HUMAN POISONING Hypersensitivity, tremors, muscular fibrillation, salivation, in co-ordination, incontinence of urine, and lacrimation, rapid and/or irregular respiration. FIRST AID TREATMENT Remove patient from source of poisoning and keep him calm and reassured. Remove contaminated clothing and rinse contaminated body area thoroughly with plenty of cold water and non-abrasive soap. Do not rub skin. Flush contaminated eyes with clean water for at least 20 minutes. Take patient IMMEDIATELY to the nearest doctor. NOTE TO PHYSICIAN The treatment of systemic intoxication should be symptomatic and supportive. RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT: For resistance management , CYPERMETHRIN 200 EC is a group code 3A insecticide. Any insect population may contain individuals naturally resistant to CYPERMETHRIN 200 EC and other group code 3A insecticides. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if these insecticides are used repeatedly. These resistant insects may not be controlled by CYPERMETHRIN 200 EC or any other group code 3A insecticide.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE : Use only as indicated AERIAL APPLICATION Aerial application of CYPERMETHRIN 200 EC may only be done by a registered aerial application operator using a registered and correctly calibrated aircraft according to the instructions of SANS Code 10118 (Aerial Application of Agricultural Pesticides). Ensure that the spray mixture is distributed evenly over the target area and that the loss of spray material during application is restricted to a minimum. It is therefore essential that the following criteria be met; • Volume: A spray mixture volume of 30 ℓ per hectare is recommended. As this product
has not been evaluated at a reduced volume rate, the registration holder cannot guarantee efficacy, or be held responsible for any adverse effects if this product is applied aerially at a lower volume rate than recommended above.
• Droplet coverage: 30 to 40 droplets per cm² must be recovered at the target area. • Droplet size: A droplet spectrum with a VMD of 250 to 280 microns is recommended.
Limit the production of fine droplets less than 150 microns (high drift and evaporation potential) to a minimum.
• Flying height: Maintain the height of the spray boom at 3 to 4 metres above the target. Do not spray when aircraft dives, is in a climb or when banking.
• Use suitable atomizing equipment that will produce the desired droplet size and coverage, but which will ensure the minimum loss of product. The spraying system must produce a droplet spectrum with the lowest possible Relative Span.
• Position all the atomizers within the inner 60 to 75 % of the wingspan to prevent droplets from entering the wingtip vortices.
• The difference in temperature between the wet and dry bulb thermometers, of a whirling hygrometer, should not exceed 8°C.
• Stop spraying if the wind speed exceeds 15 km/h. • Stop spraying under turbulent, unstable and dry conditions during the heat of the day. • Spraying under temperature inversion conditions (spraying in or above the inversion
layer) and/or high humidity conditions (relative humidity 80 % and above) may lead to the following:
- reduced efficacy due to suspension and evaporation of small droplets in the air (inadequate coverage),
- damage to other sensitive crops and/or non-target areas through drifting of the suspended spray cloud away from the target field.
• Ensure that the Aerial Spray Operator knows exactly which fields to spray. Obtain an assurance from the Aerial Spray Operator that the above requirements will be met and that relevant data will be compiled in a logbook and kept for future reference. Half fill the spray tank with clean water. Measure out the required quantity of CYPERMETHRIN 200 EC and premix this with at least 10 litres of water. Add this to the spray tank while agitating the mixture. Fill the spray tank while maintaining agitation to ensure thorough mixing of the spray mixture before spraying commences. Maintain agitation during the whole spraying operation.

In the case of aerial application by fixed wing aircraft it is recommended that the swath width should not exceed 20 m in the case of Piper Pawnee or an AgCat, 23 m for an AgCat 450B and 25 m for an Agwagon or a Thrush Commander. In the case of rotary wing aircraft it is recommended that a flying speed of 80 km/h should not be exceeded. Use in 30 litre water per hectare. Cease application when wind speed exceeds 15 km/h or if difference in readings on wet and dry bulb thermometers exceeds 8 °C. All spray applications must be made with suitable equipment that is in good working order and correctly calibrated to give the desired coverage for that particular method of application. The efficacy of CYPERMETHRIN 200 EC can be harmed at high pH value of the spray mixture. It is more stable at a pH of around 4. Where an acidifying agent is used to lower the pH of the water, the agent must be added to the water before the CYPERMETHRIN 200 EC. Prepared spray mixture must not be left in the spray tank for any length of time e.g. overnight. The addition of molasses has an acidifying effect and reduces evaporation of the spray mist. For ground application add 10 % molasses by volume and 20 % for aerial application. COMPATIBILITY: Not compatible with several adjuvants or any spray oils, sea weed extracts, amitraz, dodine, Tokuthion or Kilval.

(In order to comply with the principals of pest management and integrated control measures CYPERMETHRIN 200 EC is intended to be used during the period from peak flowering until boll split, i.e. approximately 10 to 22 weeks after plant emergence. CYPERMETHRIN 200 EC is primary intended for use as preventive control measure against all bollworm larvae based on weekly scouting, or a regular spray programme applied at 7 day intervals. Normally a bollworm spray programme will commence at the beginning of flowering, i.e. about 6 weeks after emergence. From then until peak flowering use registered non pyrethroid remedies. (Cotton older than 12 weeks after plant emergence is considered mature.)

Dra 'n hoed, gesigskerm, katoenoorpak en stewels tydens toediening. Wanneer die spuitmengsel voorberei word moet 'n respirator en rubberhandskoene gedra word. Vermy kontak met oë. Vermy velkontak. Was oorpakke daagliks. Moet nie eet, drink of rook tydens toediening of voordat hande en gesig gewas is nie. Voorkom die wegdryf van spuitnewel na ander gewasse, weiding, riviere, damme en areas nie onder behandeling nie. Maak toedieningsapparaat skoon na gebruik - uitspoelwater moet nie gewasse, weiveld, riviere of damme, besoedel nie. Voorkom besoedeling van voedsel, voer, drinkwater en eetgerei. Keer die leë houer om oor die spuittenk of mengbak en dreineer vir minstens 30 sekondes nadat die vloei tot 'n drup verminder het. Spoel die houer daarna drie keer uit met 'n volume water gelykstaande aan 'n minimum van 10 % van die houer. Gooi die spoelwater by die inhoud van die spuittenk voordat die houer op die voorgeskrewe wyse vernietig word. Vernietig leë houer deur gate in te slaan en plat te trap en begrawe weg van waterlope. Moenie vir enige ander doel hergebruik nie. SIMPTOME VAN MENSLIKE VERGIFTIGING Hipersensitiwiteit, bewing, spiersametrekking, speekselafskeiding, inkoördinasie, onbeheersde urinering, traanafskeiding, vinnige en/of onegalige asemhaling. NOODHULPBEHANDELING Verwyder persoon van die bron van vergiftiging, stel hom gerus en hou hom kalm. Verwyder besoedelde klere en was besoedelde vel deeglik met baie nie skurende seep en koue water. LUGTOEDIENING CYPERMETHRIN 200 EC kan slegs deur ‘n geregistreerde Lugbespuitingsoperateur met ‘n korrek gekalibreerde, geregistreerde vliegtuig volgens die instruksies van SANS Kode 10118 (Aerial Application of Agricultural Pesticides) uit die lug bespuit word. Verseker dat die spuitmengsel eweredig oor die teikenarea versprei word, en die verlies aan spuitmengsel tydens toediening tot ’n minimum beperk word. Dit is daarom belangrik om aan die volgende vereistes te voldoen: • Volume: 'n Spuitmengsel volume van 30 liter per hektaar word aanbeveel. Hierdie
produk is nie teen 'n verlaagde volume getoets nie. Die registrasiehouer kan nie effektiwiteit waarborg, of verantwoordelik gehou word vir enige nadelige effekte indien hierdie produk teen 'n laer volume, as hierbo aanbeveel, toegedien word nie.
• Druppelbedekking: 30 tot 40 druppels per cm² moet op die teikenarea herwin word. • Druppelgrootte: 'n Druppelspektrum met 'n VMD van 250 tot 280 mikrons word
aanbeveel. Beperk die produksie van druppels kleiner as 150 mikrons (hoë drywing en verdampingspotensiaal) tot 'n minimum.
• Vlieghoogte: Handhaaf die hoogte van die spuitbalk bo die teiken op 3 tot 4 meter. Moet nie spuit wanneer die vliegtuig duik, uitklim of draai nie.
• Gebruik geskikte atomiseringsapparaat wat die vereiste druppelgrootte en bedekking sal produseer, maar die minste verlies van produk verseker. Die spuitstelsel moet ’n druppelspektrum met die kleinste moontlike Relatiewe Span produseer.
• Plaas al die atomiseerders in die binneste 60 tot 75 % van die vlerkspan om te verhoed dat druppels binne-in die vlerkpuntvorteks beweeg.
• Die verskil in temperatuur tussen die nat- en droëboltermometer van 'n swaaihigrometer, moet nie 8°C oorskry nie.
• Stop bespuiting indien die windspoed 15 km/h oorskry. • Stop bespuiting tydens turbulente, onstabiele en droë toestande gedurende die hitte
van die dag. • Bespuiting onder temperatuur inversie toestande (deur bo of binne die inversie laag te
spuit) en/of hoë lugvog toestande (relatiewe humiditeit 80 % en meer) mag tot volgende probleme aanleiding gee:
- verlaagde effektiwiteit aangesien die druppels as 'n wolk in die lug bly hang en moontlik verdamp (onvoldoende bedekking op teiken),
- skade aan nie-teiken gewasse of sensitiewe areas as gevolg van wegdrywing van die spuitwolk na nie-teiken area.
• Verseker dat die Lugbespuitingsoperateur presies weet watter lande bespuit moet word.
Dit is noodsaaklik om 'n versekering van die Lugbespuitingsoperateur te verkry dat aan al die bogenoemde vereistes voldoen sal word en dat data van belang in ’n logboek saamgevat is vir toekomstige verwysing. Halfvul die spuittenk met skoon water. Meet die verlangde hoeveelheid CYPERMETHRIN 200 EC af en meng vooraf met 10 liter water. Voeg dit by die spuittenk terwyl geroer word. Hou aan met roer terwyl die spuittenk gevul word asook tydens bespuiting. In geval van lugtoediening met vastevlerk vliegtuie word aanbeveel dat spuitbaan-wydte nie 20 m oorskry by Piper Pawnee en Agcat nie; 23 m by Agcat 450 B en 25 m by Agwagon of Thrush Commander nie. Clean applicator after use and dispose of wash water where it will not contaminate crops, grazing, rivers or dams. Prevent contamination of food, feed, drinking water and eating utensils. Invert the empty container over the spray or mixing tank and allow to drain for at least 30 seconds after the flow has slowed down to a drip. Thereafter rinse the container three times with a volume of water equal to a minimum of 10 % of that of the container. Add the rinsings to the contents of the spray tank before destroying the container in the prescribed manner. Do not re-use for any other purpose. SYMPTOMS OF HUMAN POISONING Hypersensitivity, tremors, muscular fibrillation, salivation, in co-ordination, incontinence of urine, and lacrimation, rapid and/or irregular respiration. 2. Beperk gebruik tot boorde waar rooidopluis (Aonidiella aurantii) Mask onder
kommersiële chemiese beheer is. Die gebruik van hierdie produk vir blaaspootjiebeheer mag die opbou van rooidopluis tot gevolg hê.
3. Waar daar enige voorneme is om CYPERMETHRIN 200 EC te gebruik indien
blaaspootjiebesmetting voorkom gedurende die aangeduide periodes, dien 'n geregistreerde voorkomende behandeling vir rooidopluisbeheer vroeg in die lente en 'n tweede behandeling 7 tot 11 weke na blomblaarval toe.
6. Moet nie op bome gebruik met 'n geskiedenis van Teranychid myt infestasie
nie.
7. Valskodlingmotbeheer: Twee vereistes word gestel naamlik:
d. Dat die oes ten tye van die bespuiting vry van veral (Rooi-, Pers-, Mossel- en Sagte bruin dopluise), moet wees.
e. Dat voorkomende behandelings om rooidopluis en witluis te bestry, aan die
begin van die daaropvolgende seisoen toegedien moet word.
