This was achieved thanks to the dedicaon of all GE teachers. The next step will be the implementaon of the GE curriculum using me- thodically appropriate tools such as the ‘OTHER’ model: Orientaon, Theory, Handling, Evaluaon and Reflecon. We are pleased to announce the suc- cess of our MW Head of Professional Teacher, U Htein Win, cerfied as “ASEAN Chartered Professional Engi- neer”. There are only 1231 professionals over the world cerfied as “ACPE” and U Htein Win represents as one of the qualified professional engineers for Myanmar. A series of workshops on child-centered “Sport and Play-based Teaching” was introduced last October and connued in June 2017. It was conceptualized for teachers with the aim to enable them to use sport and play-based methods in class in a purposeful way, there by involving their students more into learning acvies and to increase their learning outcomes . A total of 32 teachers from monasc school, government and private run community learning centers and E4Y parc- ipated. Care was taken to select games that fit the specific target group that the teachers teach, based on the E4Y and H4SS curriculum in keeping with the guide- lines of SAD. Basic sport materials, equipment and toolkits are provided for each parcipant and appropriate acvies are intensively ensured to meet the learning objecves. Such training indeed promotes the development of life skills, personal skills, interpersonal skills and cognive skills of our people and are very grateful to the exclusive contribuon of SAD and the huge efforts of Ms. Malika Kons who led the mission a very fruiul and successful.

Over the past years, the focus of GE was on the develop-ment of a new school curriculum in GE. This was achieved thanks to the dedication of all GE teachers. ASEAN award winning Head of Profession MW

Congratulation! We are pleased to announce the suc-cess of our MW Head of Professional Teacher, U Htein Win, certified as “ASEAN Chartered Professional Engi-neer”. There are only 1231 professionals over the world certified as “ACPE” and U Htein Win represents as one of the qualified professional engineers for Myanmar.

Education for Youth (E4Y) School organized Memory of Martyr’s Day Event on 18th July 2017 with participation of 95 students and 7 teachers. There are so many activi-ties and performance taken place in the event including rewarding for the competition of drawing, poem, crafting, cartoon and essay. The students demonstrated the theme performance about the story of “9 Burma Independent leaders who were assassinated” and sharing of its video clip. They also sang memories songs and read the poem about “Martyr’s Day”. Special thanks to E4Y final year stu-dents who have led this event by showing of their leader-ship role to memorize the gratitude of those Independent Leaders who gave their lives for the country’s indepen-dence process.

Welcoming a newly born baby boy of E4Y Teacher U Pyae Phyo Thein

During the month of June 2017, CVT ‘Capacity Building Project’ have successfully opened two programs, Certi-fied Instructor Course Semi Pilot-3 for hotel and gastron-omy program organized by PM, Daw Hnin Phyu Aye and In-Company Trainer Course from sixteen different com-panies organized by PM, Daw Phyu Win Nyunt. The last program, YE4M after Batch-11 course, all 18 candidates had a wonderful trip to Maesot to obseve the sustainable development of travel and tourism business. Thanks to YE4M-PM, Ko Nay Lin Aung for making this trip enjoyable and successful.

We would like to share a few beautiful words below from Mr. Mark Le-vis, the General Manager of Roche Myanmar Company Limited. “We are proud to be partnered with such an established organization to run our ap-prenticeship program. We believe our apprentices will benefit greatly through the CVT dual educational system. We like to give our genuine support and respect for CVT to continue to uphold its high quality education standard and practices.”

APPRENTICE / TRAINING COMPANY VOICES

In May 2017, CVT-Cabinet Maker, Head of Professional Teacher, U Naing Lin visited to the Switzerland for two weeks. There, our teacher had chance to discuss further about pre Practical Training Course-5 (additional PTC) installation. He also learnt practicing of industrial wood product processing in very high quality assurance. In the trip, he visited to voca-tional schools, industrial sites, show rooms to understand about CM products and their designs. Last but not least, U Naing Lin managed to enjoy the beauty of Switzarland including forest, lake, water fall and made cycling tour as well. We, CVT, special thanks to CM Swiss experts, Mr. Reto, Uncle Seppi and their families, Uncle Heini and Swiss CVT Board making such trip fruitful and memorable.

In order to build up a strong CVT community with the goal to create a local board over time, CVT Myanmar or-ganized “2nd CVT Community Event” on 20th May 2017 at Summit Parkview Hotel. 40 participants from various orga-nizations, alumni, CVT old teachers, foundations, Govern-ment Ministries and media attended the event. CVT-CEO first made introduction presentation about CVT current update followed by two alumni sharing their interesting success stories. Then, Daw Lin Lin Tun Tun, MD of Mango Marketing Service Co.,ltd, facilitated five different groups in separate discussion as a group work. Participants open-ly discussed on the Pros and Cons of the CVT programs and CVT’s future with various possible outcome.

The Swiss Embassy organized a road show in Mandalay on 9th June 2017 to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of re-markable diplomatic relation between Switzerland and Myanmar. The event especially aimed at reaching out to the younger generation in Myanmar and to promote Vo-cational Education across the big cities which is the most important domain of cooperation between the two coun-tries. More than (500) people attended the event. Our CVT CRO moderated the panel discussion focusing the linkage of Vocational Education on Dual Apprenticeship System between youths and enterprises.

Minister of Tanintharyi Division visited to CVT On 30th May 2017, His Excellency, Minister of Planning and Finance, U Phyo Win Tun, of Tanintharyi Division and Daw Yi Yi Cho, Taninthary’s Member of Parliament (MP) visited to CVT. CVT management team warmly welcomed H.E. and MP. CVT, Chief Relation Officer, Daw Yin Yin Aye, presented about CVT Myanmar and discussed about overall activities of CVT including fundraising. Then, the Minister and MP looked around the school, make a class visit, interacted with the students and encouraging them to study hard in their related profession but also for their overall development.

International Education Fair at Tatmadaw HallTrade Training Institute, under the Ministry of Com-merce organized three days International Education Fair between 9 to 12 June 2017, with more than five hun-dreds of youth who are looking for opportunity in their better professional education. Both vocational and ac-ademic schools involved in the event. There was an in-teractive “Education & Career Talk Show” among three professionals, Dr.Khin Maung Nyo (Economist), U Thein Myint Wai (Director of Curriculum Development In-stitute of TTI) and Daw Khin Myat Sandar (CVT-CEO).
