    After my internship (and the writing of bachelor thesis) I worked as a material requirements planner during summer. The Resource Planning & Control department has the responsibility of planning and controlling raw materials and semi finished goods within the company. My tasks included the following: Anticipating on deviations between actual and forecasted market

    demand for SKUs, and take actions accordingly (e.g. increase order sizes/frequency) in SAP.

    Anticipating on demand for made/engineered to order articles and order accordingly.

    Follow-up on orders with suppliers and assure they arrive according to the agreed terms and conditions.

    Resolve issues with several warehousing locations (e.g. in case of missing materials).

    As part of my bachelor Industrial Engineering & Management, I wrote my bachelor thesis at Hunter Douglas. The main problem described an inaccuracy between forecasted and actual demand. Several recommendations were made to improve and standardize the forecasting process.
