Laboratory of Cassandra Quave, Ph.D., Emory University Center for Human Health Undergraduate Researcher 2014-2015 Led the isolation and elucidation of novel bioactive natural products in medicinally significant botanicals via bioassay-guided fractionation. SIRE Undergraduate Fellow 2013-2014 Conducted comparative HPLC/HPTLC analysis of Schisandra glabra (Brickell) Rehder, a rare endemic magnolia species, with Schisandra chinensis (Turcz.) Baill., a medicinally significant plant in northeast Asia. Isolated and elucidated novel S.aureus biofilm inhibiting compounds in the medicinally significant Elmleaf Blackberry, Rubus ulmifolius Schott. via bioassay-guided fractionation.
