Personal Statement

I have 17 years experience in the retail distribution industry including Team Management of Operational, Admin, Stock Management, and Planning teams. I have experience of one to one management of team members via structured development and disciplinary processes. Success in these roles required strong organisational skills, excellent data analysis skills as well as management report writing and managing to tight time schedules, budgets and process adherence targets.

I am a loyal, committed individual who will strive to exceed all targets set and pride myself and being able to develop and up skill those I am managing. I am organised and structured in the way I work, am very process driven with an eye for detail, and set high standards for both myself and my team.

Key Achievements

Jan 13 – Oct 14: Halfords Group Plc - Planning and Admin Manager. Manager of 2 Team Leaders and 30 Admin clerks and stock file auditors. Responsible for stock file integrity, internal accuracy auditing, supporting the

operational managers, Management and KPI reporting, internal Customer Services to the store network, payroll administration, Warehouse product layout optimisation, and inbound vendor delivery scheduling.

Responsible for weekly volume and labour requirement forecasting and planning, Logistics planning for product promotional activities, Vendor Performance improvement, and development of tools to enhance forecasting ability.

July 10 - Jan 13: Halfords Group Plc – NDC Shift Manager. Managing all operations to meet store delivery schedule within budget in new start

up Coventry site. Direct management and development of 4 Team Managers managing up to 40

warehouse operatives responsible for all inbound activities.

Jan 10 - July 10: Halfords Group Plc – NDC Shift Manager. Responsible for all operations of the NDC Redditch. Represented Halfords at the Manhattan Associates Momentum 10 conference held

in Miami Florida in May 2010. Managed the movement of distribution activity from NDC Redditch to new Coventry

NDC by managing the exit of Redditch DC and winding down of operations.

April 07 - Jan 10: Halfords Group Plc - Reporting and Stock Audit Team Manager

Manager of a team of 8 tasked with stock discrepancy investigation, Perpetual Inventory audits, Integrity of £20 million Stock file, internal accuracy auditing, and controlling DC erosions.

Reporting of all Audit functions. Calculating and reporting NDC performance levels on a weekly basis for KPI and

budget purposes. Various other reporting duties centred on E-Commerce activity.

Feb 07 - April 07: Halfords Group Plc - Process Manager. Writing Standard Operating Procedures for all NDC job roles to standardise day to

day operations, training, and Health & Safety reporting. Aug 06 - Feb 07: Halfords Group Plc – E-Commerce Logistics Process Expert

Designing and implementing a replacement system for fulfilling customer orders received via the Halfords.com website.

Responsible for becoming the E-Commerce process expert from a NDC prospective. System testing and issue resolution, designing and delivering staff training, and

training trainers for 2 other sites. Provided support in the post go live period in terms of reporting and resolving

issues.

delivering DC staff training, full system testing prior to go live, and providing support in the post go live period.

June 04 - Jan 05: Halfords Group Plc - Team Manager. Goods In Planning role then moved to the role of Toting and Returned Goods Team

Manager managing a team of 20 processing faulty goods returned by stores and unpacking inbound goods to make them available for the store order picking.

different department Team Mangers in their absence. Responsible for managing key departments in the distribution operation, including
