I am an IT professional with over 7 years of Microsoft SQL Server experience in database development and administration. I’ve been involved in all aspects of application development and deployment as a developer, system admin and DBA. I love understanding SQL Server's behavior in order to help developers, DBAs, and engineers build fast, robust and scalable solutions.

The best part of this job was working in a team of very talented people that shared the same passion for technology. I was lucky to take advantage of the latest technologies and that gave me the opportunity to expand my knowledge and become an expert. The project I’ve worked on consisted of a suite of multichannel marketing tools including social, email, display advertising, print and mail, enhancement, and analytical solutions.

Here is what a typical work week looked like for me: o Continuous client communication and gathering requirements o Write TSQL code, stored procedures, functions , scripts for multiple web applications o Handle database deployments across multiple environments o SQL performance tuning, query tuning, indexing strategies o Installing and configuring SQL server instances o Performs database and server migrations.

Database developer and customer support team lead

While working in this company I was involved in 2 projects. For the first project I've joined a 4 person team of developers that were delivering a customizable clinical trial management software system. My responsibilities were to gather requirements from customer, writing code, testing and offer support. Oracle was used as a database engine for this app and because it was new to me I considered it a challenging and very interesting project. This project was delivered successfully after a couple of months to the client and I was moved to another project that had a 50+ team of developers, testers and support engineers .My title was database developer but in a few months I was promoted to customers support team lead where I had to manage a team of 4 support engineers for tier 2 support and another 10 for tier 1 support.

Typical week: o Gather requirements from customer and design database o Implement view's, stored procedures, functions and other scripts o Create reports using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) o Perform various ETL processes using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) o Performed different data cleansing tasks using SQL Server and SSIS for removing inaccurate data o Provide guidance for the entire support team in solving tickets

When I’ve joined this company there was 5-10 team of developers based in Cluj-Napoca and another 5 executives in Paris that were delivering accounting software. My initial role was to install, update and maintain the web application on the client’s server’s .In time my responsibilities grew and I’ve maintained over 100 servers and their SQL Server instances.
