I am looking for a new and exciting opportunity to further enhance and build on my current experience and skills. During my time as a teacher I have been able to nurture a deeper understanding of management skills and to develop a positive approach to leadership and working with others. I have always endeavoured to lead and communicate in a way that is hallmarked by honesty, fairness and consistency together with a sense of perspective, proportion and humour. I am a good role model for staff and like to lead by example, through working hard, being organis ed, communicating effectively and most crucially being available to listen when needed, in a sensitive and discreet manner. As a role model and Lead Learner in ICT and Computing, I have tried to create an ethos, where staff are happy to contribute, explore and enhance their own particular strengths and talents whilst setting a culture of high expectation and I am positive that I can replicate that in my future working life. Employment History

Lead Practitioner for ICT and Computing, The Oldershaw Academy, Wallasey, CH45 4RJ(September 2008 – July 2016)

Key results and responsibilities:

On both a personal and departmental level, results have consistently met and exceeded national expectations including 100% pass rate at grades A* to C within the last year.

In addition to appraisal observations, the teaching and learning in my lessons has been frequently described by OFSTED as outstanding or good.

Member of the Teaching Leaders course and middle management training from JMU. I have effectively modified and implemented across the department schemes of work that are

continually changing in relation to the new ICT and Computing curriculum. I have been responsible for both the Key Stage 3 and the Key Stage 4 curriculum. Introduced new methods of assessment including on-line based assessment and I have

created a bank of differentiated resources for both specialist and non-specialist staff.

Increased the use of data analysis within the department to inform future planning.

ICT Teacher, Halewood College, Wood Road, Halewood, L26 1UU(September 2002 – August 2008)

Key results and responsibilities:

Creating and implementing successful transition practices in the department which lead to an increase in pupil numbers in year 7.

GNVQ course provided a 4% increase in overall school results for two years running (A*-C).

Responsible for running the GNVQ course in school. Responsible for the running of several school trips including ones abroad. Results increased as a result of improved teaching and learning within the department. Promoted to ‘Acting Manager’ position when superior was on annual leave. Oversaw all deliveries and managed stock control, wage budgets, and a number of other

key management tasks.

Code Checker, J Sainsburys, Crosby, Liverpool(August 1998 – September 2002)

Key results:

Store nominated for local award recognising best code checking results in the North West. Achieved and exceeded overall targets set during entire period of employment as code

checker. Promoted to ‘Head code checker’ when superior left and was asked to take a more active role

in certain management tasks such as stock control. Demonstrated resilience and ability to sell products at an effective mark down price that still

kept the store within profit margins. Significantly improved negotiation skills, regularly converting customers from point of enquiry

to sale.
