MĀORI TELEVISION As an EXECUTIVE PRODUCER the role is to ensure the Producers bring the programmes in on-time and on-budget. Scrutinise the editorial and all aspects of the production. Organise and manage special events for the channel. As a PRODUCER I was responsible for all aspects of a television series, from conceiving new shows, pitching the idea and full production. You manage budgets, hiring of crew, talent and presenters. You’re also in charge of planning the show and getting it to air, this includes gathering and working on all the important components needed including research materials, talent, props and scripts. You’re also responsible for writing all transmedia production bibles associated with the shows.
