6. Artistic review:

David Ugalde, Costarican concert pianist, was

a student of Dr. Alexandr Sklioutovsky and M.M.

Luis Monge. In 2010, David was invited by the

Bottazzi International Musical Society to perform

at the Weill Hall of the Carnegie Hall in New York,

after wich Mr. Walter Aparicio, reknown

american pianist wrote that David “played with a

real sense of the long term harmonic goal and

had long luscious lines… The beauty of this work really shone through” referring to

his performance of Chopin’s third Ballade.

Mr. Ugalde have achieved many accolades throughout his career. Those most

notable were achieved in the past years – winning second place in the Bradshaw &

Buono International Piano Competition as well as in the Advanced Category of the

American Protege International Competition of Romantic Music. David Ugalde has

performed throughout the country and most recently he gave an entire solo piano

recital at the National Theather.
