monogram of Lord Mulgrave (Master General of Ordanance 1810‐1819), the second
reinforce ring numbered 'MDCCLII' and drilled with two holes, possibly for a fore‐sight
(missing), the first reinforce with crowned monogram of George III within the Garter,
signed and dated base ring, plain trunnions, knob shaped cascabel with Blomefield
pattern ring and mount for an elevating screw, quarter sight markings to either side
and stamped underneath with the weight '6‐0‐6' and fitted with later adjustable back‐

Company was an ironworks established in 1759 on the banks of the river Carron near
Falkirk in Stirlingshire. After initial problems, the company was at the forefront of the
Industrial Revolution. The company prospered through it's development and

company was one of the largest ironworks in Europe through the 19th century.

ornamental parade armour, the knight's armour of bright steel with compositions of
the 16th and 19th century, close helmet, two pieced visor with a pair of lattice vision
slits and oval lattice breathings, falling bevor, skull complete with plume holder and
roped edge neck plate, breast plate with pronounced central crease adorned with
fantail decoration, back plate with diagonal line pattern, pauldrons each of six lames,
elaborate couters with rope edging, latticed vambrance, tassets each of two lames,
arched to centre and chased with filigree adornments, poeyns with spade shaped side
