Also initiated a new unit, the Medical Review and Academic Detailing unit in 2012 to aid the State of Illinois in enforcing the 4 prescription policy for Medicaid patients, to review drug therapy of these patients, and provide education to Medicaid providers. This group has an Assistant Director and approximately 20 clinical staff pharmacists.

Healthcare and Family Services. 2004-Present. Contract to develop therapeutic class reviews, new drug reviews, and provide formulary support.

Cardinal Healthcare. 1999-Present. Annual contract to provide drug information support for approximately 300 hospital pharmacies nationwide. In addition, provide clinical support for the non-hospital pharmacy units of Cardinal and develop frequently asked questions for the Cardinal intranet as well as formulary class reviews.

MC-21. 1999-Present. Contract to develop drug class reviews for this health maintenance organization.

University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center. 1999 to present. Involved in writing or editing single drug and class reviews for the Medical Center, answering drug information requests from outpatient and inpatient pharmacists, and developing the bimonthly medical center newsletter.

Hospira. 2008-2013. Contract to develop a training program, and participate in lectures within the program, in conjunction with the UIC Department of Anesthesiology in order to educate sales representatives and managers regarding the use of dexmedetomidine in anesthesia.
