Postpartum care and management of mother and baby (or babies). Admission and discharge of postpartum families, evaluation of postpartum health including postpartum hemorrhage, blood sugar stability, pain management, and blood pressure evaluations. Patient and family teaching for infant care and bathing, breastfeeding, pain management, fluid overload, and signs & symptoms of infection or cardiovascular instability after discharge.12-48 hours per month.

Peripartum care including labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, and cesarean births. Birth triage, expectant and emergent care. Admission and discharge of inpatients and outpatients. Maintain standards established by AWHONN, the American Nurses Association, and local institution protocols.36 hours per week.
