Sacred Heart Medical Center, Spokane, WARN 2014 – September 2016Psychiatric staff nurse – AGPU (inpatient). Staff Nurse, Psychiatry (AGPU – Adult Geriatric Psychiatric Unit). Provide highly skilled nursing care to unstable patients in a 48-bed locked, inpatient psychiatric unit. Applied critical thinking skills to plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate activities to provide quality nursing care to patients and their family members. Consulted with members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of competent, quality health care. Administered psychotropic medications to patients in a timely manner and as needed for withdrawal or other psychiatric issues.6-24 hours per week.
Sacred Heart Medical Center, Spokane, WARN 2014 – September 2016Postpartum nurse on call – Postpartum, Women’s Health Center, Birth Place. Postpartum care and management of mother and baby (or babies). Admission and discharge of postpartum families, evaluation of postpartum health including postpartum hemorrhage, blood sugar stability, pain management, and blood pressure evaluations. Patient and family teaching for infant care and bathing, breastfeeding, pain management, fluid overload, and signs & symptoms of infection or cardiovascular instability after discharge.12-48 hours per month.

Peripartum care including labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, and cesarean births. Birth triage, expectant and emergent care. Admission and discharge of inpatients and outpatients. Maintain standards established by AWHONN, the American Nurses Association, and local institution protocols.36 hours per week.
