Personalstatement

Mechanical EngineeringA hard-working mechanical engineer with full passion on aerodynamics of vehicles and their design and ondevelopment of computational tools.I gained experience in compressible flows, with deep knowledge of different CFD methods applied on HighPerformance Computer clusters. During my Ph.D. research project in Aeronautical and Space Engineering,I developed the ability to cooperate and work in a group, achieving common goals.I’m looking for a position in a challenging environment after having shaped and refined my technical skillswith years of experience both as undergraduate and graduate student.

Key Achievements ◦ Detached-eddy simulations of shock wave/turbulent boundary layer interactions in over-expandendrocket nozzles carried out on the High Performance Computing facility of Cineca Italian ComputingCenter. Investigation about the effects of the low-frequency shock oscillations and the asymmetricboundary-layer separation. Spectral and wavelet analysis of the wall pressure signature.

◦ Numerical study of the cryogenic LOx/CH4 flow in the full scale injector head of the new VEGA-Eupper stage M10 engine (ESA Lyra programme). Specific investigation of the mean flow in bothsupercritical LOx (Liquid Oxygen) and CH4 circuits.

◦ Numerical study of the dynamic of the fall of space launchers by three-dimensional steady and tran-sient RANS simulations of the separated flow around the stage at several Mach numbers. Qualitativeand quantitative analisys about the pitch and yaw moments and detection of the the equilibrium anglewith zero pitch moment coefficient. Simulations carried out by Ansys Fluent.

◦ Feasibility study for the energy efficient improvement of the Ottaviani S.r.l.’s Food Manufacturingand Packaging industrial plant. Cost analysis for the replacement of diesel boilers with gpl boilersand the development of an efficient recovery system of cooking tanks wastewater with the aim torecover the thermal energy of the water achieving also the respect of regulations in force.
