Computer and human languages

My mother tongue is Dutch, but I was taught French from the age of 10 and Ger-man from the age of 14, as I went to secondary school in Belgium, a trilingualcountry (Dutch, French, German). By the age of 18 I was very fluent in Frenchand fluent in German. Yet, since I don’t have to communicate in these languageon a daily basis any more, this is now less the case, especially for what concernsGerman. However, it is mainly a problem of having forgotten the vocabulary. Forthat reason, I think that it would take me a year or so to catch up, and at most twoto three years to become fully proficient.
