Current Status
The average daily rainfall in Indian side of catchment is 0.08 mm. Observed
maximum rainfall (2.0 mm) at Rudhauli Block in Basti district.
Forecast (Based on forecast at 0530 hrs. on 15 June 2020 using WRF model from IMD)
Light Rainfall is forecasted for next 03 days in Nepal side of the
catchment.
Light Rainfall is forecasted for next 03 days in Indian side of the
catchment.
This forecast is being tested on pilot basis for user feedback and improvement.

INTRODUCTION
Rapti river basin is the one of the most flood prone
area of the state (U.P.). The catchment area (basin) is
approximately 2.66 million ha including 1.14 million ha
area in Nepal. The rainfall forecast maps of the Rapti
basin for next three days shows forecasted rainfall in
different colours. Red colour depicts extremely heavy
rainfall in the area.
Current rainfall status of daily rainfall till time of
forecast observed at 49 automatic rain gauge stations
(Real Time Data Acquisition System) deployed in the
Indian side of the basin is shown in tabular form. Please
visit FMISC website http://fmiscup.in for detailed hourly
rainfall data.
