increasing the circulating air flow to 3.000 m³/h (OR-supplyair flow: 4000 m³/h) energy costs are virtually unaltered.
� Electricity costs are even lower at a circulating air flow of 7000 m³/h than in the case of DIN with an outdoor air flow of 2800 m³/h.
� Electricity costs only amount for approx. 5 – 8 % of the annualcosts for the air-conditioning of operating rooms.
� With optimisation of the ULF/circulating air concepts, annual costsmay even be further reduced compared to the DIN cases (seeDGKH-OPT-case).

� The size of the ceiling panel has to conform to the type of surgical intervention. As a rule, the operating table and the instrument tables shall be protected.
