Why is sonar & not radar used in water fortracking objects at greater depths?

    1. Factoid#1: Radar uses high frequency radio waves.2. Theyre electromagnetic waves, can travel long

distance in air because theyre not much absorbed byair molecules.

    3. However, Radar sent in water, then it can hardlytravel beyond meter because water will absorb thoseelectromagnetic waves.

    4. Therefore, we cant use radar to track objects inwater.

    5. Factoid#2: Sonar uses high frequency sound waves.Theyre mechanical waves, they dont lose energyeven after traveling long distance in water.

    6. So we use Sonar to track objects in water.

Avoid Indiscriminate Use of Urea (3/3)1. Applyurea (N) in balance with P & K. Also, cater to

the deficientsecondary and micronutrients.2. Soil test-based fertilizer prescriptions have to be

adopted.3. Neem oil coated urea should be preferred over

prilled urea, especially for basal dressing.4. Losses of N are usually less when urea is top-

dressed before irrigation.5. Modified N scheduling using leaf color chart (LCC)

gives better N use efficiency in crops.

Avoid Indiscriminate Use of Urea (2/3)1. Because the Sarkarsubsidises Urea +

itsindiscriminate use, we have adverse issues on soil, crop quality & overall ecosystem.

    2. Excessive use of urea leads tomining of soil nutrientsthat are not applied or applied inadequately, hencesoil quality goes down.

    3. Nitrogen applied in excess of crop demand is lostthrough volatilization, denitrification and leaching. So what?

    4. Denitrification leads to climate change | Leachingleads to groundwater pollution.

    5. Insane use of nitrogen also reduces the N-useefficiency & hence we see lowering of net profits.
