The Township of Clark contracts with Plainfield Municipal Utilities Authority (PMUA). PMUA is responsible for removing Residential Recycling throughout the Township. With the COVID 19, PMUA has temporarily amended their pick-up schedule. After March 21st, pick-ups will be on Wednesdays.The Calendar is only for the next 4 pick-ups, and will be updated as PMUA gives us dates. Please stay up to date with the Township webpage, facebook, email blasts, and Tap into Clark. If you should have any questions you may email [email protected]. Thank you.

The DPW yard is located on Westfield Avenue (behind Police Dept.)
Plastic, glass and aluminum recyclables must fit loosely in
the blue recycling cart with the lid completely closed.
Paper recyclables must fit in the recycling cart with the lid completely closed - OR - must be neatly contained in paper
bags, boxes or bundled and set out next to the cart.
ONLY PUT SHREDDED PAPER IN TRANSPARENT BAGS NEXT TO THE CONTAINER.
ONLY PUT EXCESS PLASTIC, GLASS & ALUMINUM IN TRANSPARENT BAGS NEXT TO THE CONTAINER.
DON’T… put garbage in the recycling cart.DON’T… put recyclables in the garbage.DON’T… put bulk waste, or hazardous materials in your carts.DON’T… put construction debris or hot ashes in your cart.DON’T… overload OR place excess recyclables on top of or next
to your container. (See exception for holiday closing.*)
DO… only put recyclables loosely in the blue carts.DO… keep cart lids closed to trap odors, keep animals, rain and snow out.DO… roll carts out after 8 pm the evening PRIOR to a scheduled pick-up.DO… roll carts back in by 8 am the day after a scheduled pick-up.DO… always place carts in the same spot.DO… face the cart handle toward the street.DO… store carts out of sight, in a secure location on your property.
