In 2012 WaterAid Canada began an ambitious new program, its largest ever, to bring clean water, safe toilets and hygiene education to 128,600 students, teachers and sta" at 183 primary schools in Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda.

This past year 27,163 boys and girls took their first drink of clean, safe water at school. If only you could have seen the smiles and the pride on their faces when they were allowed to use their new facilities for the first time!

Throughout the developing world, lack of these basic services at schools continues to hinder millions of children, especially girls, from getting an eduction.
