Pittwater High School Concert On Thursday 6 th November, the Pittwater High School band, consisting of 35 students, came to our school to perform a range of songs including Blurred Lines, an Earth, Wind and Fire medley and the Mission Impossible Theme song. As well as listening to these songs, the children learnt about different instruments and were able to join the band for their final song. Thank you to the students and staff from Pittwater High school for entertaining us. Photos from this day are included in this newsletter. Premier’s Reading Challenge Congratulations to all of the students who participated in, and completed, the Premier’s Reading Challenge. The challenge ran for two terms, with the support of Mrs Munro in the Library and Mrs Schulz, Mrs Thorne and Mrs Canning in the classrooms. Thank you to all of the parents and friends who supported this initiative at home. Premier’s Sporting Challenge The Premier's Sporting Challenge aims to engage young people in sport and physical activity and encourages them to lead healthy and active lifestyles. This year all of the staff and students participated in the challenge. Congratulations to all of the children who received certificates for their achievements. Christmas Church Service Our annual Christmas Church service will be held on Wednesday 26 th November, at 12noon at the Cumnock Anglican Church. All parents and friends are invited to join us for this wonderful Christmas tradition. Thank you to Mrs Flick, Mrs Pottie, Mrs Leisk and Rev Maunder for organising this event for us.
