the spark. A project of this magnitude requires both broad support and visionary leadership. It takes a firm belief in the potential of a young mind and the importance of a young heart. In other words, it needs you. The decision to embark on a capital campaign did not come without in-depth planning or the support of community leaders and business partners who are dedicated to the success of this project. We have also invested in analysis and necessary change to ensure the museum will be here well into the future.

Through donations, grants, and state and federal funding, our goal is to raise money to pay for the following: Be the spark and you’ll light the way for children for generations to come.

Pre-development $100,000 Pre-design $30,000

Building Purchase $750,000 Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment $450,000

Architect Fees $285,000 Construction $2,800,000

Project Financing $460,000 Total Cost Estimates $4,875,000

All gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Capital campaign pledges will be accepted over a three- or five-year period in the form of cash, stock, real estate, and planned gifts. For more information about ways to give, please contact Duluth Children’s Museum President and CEO Michael Garcia at 218.733.7543.
