On Saturday, May 1st, 2010 at the Union League in Philadelphia, the Tecumseh community came together to honor two men that have served Camp since 1948 in Jim Fraser and Bob Glascott! 325 people filled Lincoln Hall, with representation from as far as Italy (Mazza/Schroder!), Alaska, California, New Mexico, Michigan, Maine, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Chicago, North Carolina, Virginia, New Hampshire, Ver- mont, Maryland, Connecticut, Delaware, NYC, New Jersey, DC...what a testament to the loyalty amongst our CT family! Saturday morning, we woke up to find that The Philadelphia Inquirer agreed that our Reun- ion was front page news (link below). As for the presentation, Terry Cooper so eloquently delivered the nights invocation. Then, Lee Allman had the crowd laughing up with a power point cartoon spoof of Mr. G and Bob Glacott Jr. introduced his father. Mr. Glascott, in his typical humble fashion, thanked everyone for the great honor. A loud “Boom Boom” CT cheer was led by Tim O’Shea! Click HERE for the special program book! John and Jeff Fraser said a few words of thanks to their father, then Mike Reardon performed a heart-felt roast of Mr. Fraser for his introduction. For his remarks, Mr. Fraser did what most of us watched him do every morning in the dining hall...Instruction assignments. “Rookies will report to fencing this morning with Maestro. Junior I’s will climb Red Hill with Ed Flinterman...” Mr. Fraser reeled of a legendary list of instruc- tors from over his years, and paid special tribute to those no longer with us. Mr. Fraser ended by saying that above all other honors to receive, “this one is the most special to me.” A big “Fraser” CT cheer was led by Alex Wolfington. “Tecumseh Legends”, a special video produced by our own Henry Roosevelt, provided the fireworks to end this special evening! The weekend of May 1st, 2010 was among the best our Tecumseh family has ever had! While we all are aware of the wonderful Reunion that was held, the weekend also gave many CT friends the opportunity to attend Friday nights Phillies game, play golf on Saturday and many even continued the festivities into Sunday brunch! Combine that with a front page article in Saturday’s Inquirer and Saturday’s night Reunion, it’s hard to imagine a better weekend for our Tecumseh family!

As a Director, I have been blessed to have both Jim Fraser and Bob Glascott on the Counsel during my years at Tecumseh. These two men are the cornerstone to all Tecumseh traditions and have developed many great men over their combined 121 years of service. I hope for many more great years alongside both Jim and Bob!

On behalf of the entire CT community, I want to take this opportunity to publicly thank a few men that poured their time and talent into this event over the past seven months. Corny Merlini, Blake Stabert, and Mark Luff led an organizing committee which tirelessly worked to ensure that the event fell nothing short of great! We are fortunate to have such inspired people among us that did whatever it took to make the night a huge success. Thank you!

CT’s 107th summer is right around the corner and we are putting the final touches on our off-season efforts. As of today, we have 160 campers signed up to be with us this summer! This is a strong number in this economy and we’re working hard to fill about 15 more spots. Please contact me directly (email below) with the names and contact information of any potential families that you would recommend for CT. We are also fully staffed with one of the strongest groups ever! I also encourage you to make a Blue-Gray gift today. Every dollar contributed to the Blue-Gray Fund is a dollar that we can offer to a family that wants to attend Camp, but may have financial constraints . You can make your gift online HERE.

Please mark your calendar’s for Wednesday, September 22nd for the 2nd annual Camp Tecumseh Alumni and Friends Golf Outing at Sunnybrook Golf Club. This year, we’d like to expand the event outside of the CT Alumni network to include more parents, current and past, as well as any parents of potential campers! The day is a chance for another CT reunion, but it’s also a great opportunity to connect good folks into our network, so bring along a friend! Finally, please feel free to visit Camp this summer if you’re in the area! We’d love to have you stop by and say Hello and see that as much as things may have changed in our personal lives, CT is still the great place that you remember! Pemi Day is scheduled for July 30th, and final weekend will be August 13th-15th, with HMS Pinafore scheduled for Aug. 12-14th. Plan your trip up today!
