Benefits of Joining a Sport Club

Personal and Professional Growth

With this experience, Sport Clubs has helped build some skills I struggled with in the past such as communication, organization, responsibility as well as time management. By improving these skills I believe I have become a better leader by example, showing that I am reliable and responsible.

-Eddie Zamora, Wrestling Club Friendship

Joining a sport club at Sac State will really help students get connected with amazing individuals who have the same love and appreciation for the sport they join. Joining a sport club at Sac State gives students the opportunity to grow as a student, team member, and an individual. Also, the sport club teams at Sac State are more than just teams; they become family.

-Geraldine Villa, Racquetball Club

Pride and School Spirit

Being able to wear the Sac State uniform and travel to schools across the west coast, and sometimes across the country, has truly been a once in a lifetime opportunity. Not all athletes are able to compete at the D1 level at Sac State, so sport clubs has given me the option to still compete at a very competitive level.

-Chandler Bender, Men’s Rowing, Class of 2017
