I hold that the highest development of the mind and the soulis possible through a holistic system of education. Only everyhandicraft has to be taught not merely mechanically as is donetoday, but scientically... One imparts ten times as much in thismanner as by reading and writing.

empoweringrural India...
Millions of Indians still live below the poverty line
and face a number of issues related to health,
education and employment on a daily basis.
Providing meaningful employment and livelihood
opportunities to youth is an absolute necessity toachieve inclusive and sustainable growth given
our favourable demographics.
Skills Development is essential for empowering
rural communities in India. However, it needs
large scale systemic reforms, quality improvement
and large scale implementation. It is therefore
important to work with stakeholders in a Public
Private Partnership (PPP) mode to ensure
innovative solutions can be implemented to
empower rural India.
IL&FS Skills works with several communities
including youth, women, school dropouts, SHGs,
persons with disabilities, graduates and artisans
to impart skill development and livelihood services
that EMPOWER PEOPLE to EMPOWER INDIA.
