The APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) program is recognized

worldwide as the premier supply chain management education and

certification program.

The APICS CSCP program takes a broad view of operations, extending

beyond internal operations to encompass the entire supply chain—from

supplier, through the company, to the end consumer. The program provides

professionals with the knowledge necessary to understand and manage the

Eligibility RequirementsTo be eligible to register for and take the APICS CSCP exam, a candidate must meet one of the following criteria:• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus two years of related business

experience, or• CPIM, CFPIM, CIRM, or C.P.M. designation plus two years of related

business experience, or• Five years of related business experience.

Candidates must submit an application to document eligibility to take the APICS CSCP exam. Candidates whose applications are approved will receive notice of authorization to test. Candidates whose applications are not approved will receive notice that they are not eligible to test and information on why their applications were denied.

Application Procedures1. Obtain an APICS customer number. If you are already an APICS member, your membership number is your APICS customer number. If you cannot remember your APICS customer number, contact APICS Customer Support for assistance. If you are not an APICS member and have never placed an order with or requested information from APICS, call APICS Customer Support at (800) 444-2742 or (773) 867-1777 to have a customer number assigned to you. Your APICS customer number remains the same throughout the certification process. Please keep it on file and use it whenever you register for an exam or order materials.

2. Complete the eligibility application online. Visit apics.org/CSCP to access the online form. All applications must be submitted to APICS at least 2 weeks before you want to schedule your test.OrIf you do not wish to apply online, you may download a copy of the APICS CSCP eligibility application from the APICS website at apics.org/CSCP. Complete the application, which must contain your signature and the date. Return the completed application to APICS two weeks before you plan to schedule a CBT exam. 3. APICS will review applications and notify candidates of their eligibility status within two weeks of receipt. All communication regarding eligibility is done via email. Candidates whose application is approved will receive an authorization-to-test notice. Candidates who receive an authorization-to-test notice may proceed with the APICS CSCP exam registration.

Candidates who receive a denied notice will have the opportunity to provide the required additional information. Please note that the two-week response time applies again in this case.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Exam FormatThe APICS CSCP exams will be administered using alinear testing approach. Candidates answer a predeter-mined number of questions to assess their knowledge inkey areas.

Number of Exam QuestionsThe APICS CSCP exam consists of 175 multiple-choice questions (150 operational and 25 pretest). The pretest questions do not contribute to your total score but are necessary for research purposes. These pretest questions are randomly distributed among the scorable items and will be used for statistical purposes only. The pretest items are similar to the scorable items on the test, and candi dates will not know which items will be scored and which will not. Candidates should answer all exam questions.

APICS CSCP Score RangeThe APICS CSCP score range is from 200 to 350. A score of 300 or higher is required to pass the exam.Fail = 200-299Pass= 300-350

Length of the ExamCandidates will have four hours to complete the exam.

BreaksNo breaks are scheduled during any APICS CSCP exam. If you must leave the room during an exam, notify the test center manager before doing so. Timing will not stopduring a break.

MisconductThe test center manager is authorized to dismiss youfrom a test session for:• creating a disturbance• giving or receiving help• using notes, books, wristwatch calculators, digital

assistants, or other aids• using electronic devices, including cell phones• attempting to remove scratch paper from the

testing room• attempting to remove test questions (in any format)

from the testing room• failing to follow the test center manager’s directions.

If you engage in any of these forms of misconduct, your exam will not be scored and your fees will not be refund-ed. Furthermore, acts of misconduct will be brought to the attention of the APICS Curricula and Certification Committee and the APICS Ethics Committee. In addition,

because the entire question data bank, each exam form, and all exam materials are copyrighted and are the legal property of APICS, legal action will be taken against any-one who violates the copyright laws by dis tributing exami-nation content or materials through any form of reproduc-tion. Oral, written, or electronic communication dur ing the exam is strictly prohibited and punishable by law.

No-Show PolicyYou are considered a no-show on the day of your sched-uled exam if• you choose not to keep your exam appointment• you do not have an acceptable reason for your absence.If you fail to report for your scheduled exam and you do not have an acceptable reason for your absence, you will forfeit the exam registration fee.

Medical or Other Emergencies on Test DayOnly the following are acceptable reasons for missingyour scheduled exam:• a serious illness (either you or an immediate family

member*)• a death in the immediate family• a disabling traffic accident• a court appearance or jury duty• unexpected military duty*NOTE: Definition of immediate family member Spouse Children Siblings Parents Grandparents

Rescore PolicyAll candidates have 90 days from the receipt of their score to challenge their report results. If you would like to request a rescore, please call APICS Customer Support at (800) 444-2742 or (773) 867-1777 and an associate will be able to discuss the rescore process and related fees.

APICS CSCP CertificatesCandidates who attain APICS CSCP status will receivea personalized certificate within four to six weeks ofreceiving a passing score on the APICS CSCP exam.

Special Accommodations for Candidates with Disabilities or Special NeedsPearson VUE will comply with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq.) and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act as amended (42U.S.C. 2000e et seq.) to accommodate candidates who,because of disability or religious reasons, need specialarrangements to enable them to take an examination. Ifyou need special arrangements for testing because of a disabling condition, you may ask for special testing ser-vices. If you need special arrangements, submit a written request that includes a current letter from a licensed physician, optometrist, social worker, clergy, nurse prac-titioner, or psychologist (including title, address, and phone number on professional letterhead) describing the nature of your functional limitation as it applies to taking a standardized, multiple-choice examination and the spe-cific accommodations needed for testing. Note: You must have an authorization-to-test notice to register for the exam. Please apply at least two weeks before you plan to schedule your exam.

CSCP Eligibility ApplicationsApplications must be received at APICS at least two weeks before a candidate plans to schedule the exam. APICS will review all applications and notify candidates of their status within two weeks of receipt. Applications received less than two weeks before the time the candidate wants to schedule will not be expedited. There is no charge for the application process.

Exam LocationsPlease refer to the Pearson VUE Website at pearsonvue.com/apics for the most up-to-date informa-tion on APICS CSCP exam locations. Details about the test sites, including directions, are provided to all candidates on the exam registration confirmation notices.

APICS Members: $575 (USD) per examNonmembers: $725 (USD) per examRetake: $350 (USD) per examCanadian candidates: Please add the 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST) to your registration fee if you are taking the test in Canada. If you are taking the test in any Maritime Province, please add the 13% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) to your registration fee.

Candidates will be charged a $10.00 (USD) fee for all registrations using the Pearson VUE Customer Care at 866-583-8949. To avoid this fee, register online at pearsonvue.com/apics.

Retake FeeIf you did not pass your previous APICS CSCP exam or your cancellation from the previous APICS CSCP exam was not approved, you qualify for the retake fee.

Registering for the Exam

1. Have your APICS customer number availableCustomers need to ensure they have their APICS customer number available when scheduling an exam. Thisis the same number as used for the eligibility application.

ON ThE DAy OF ThE EXAM

Reporting to the Test Center You should arrive at the test center approximately 30 minutes before the exam to allow time for check-in pro-cedures. If you arrive late, you will be considered absent or failing to appear for the exam; thus, you will forfeit the full exam fee. There are no exceptions to this policy.

What You Must BringA valid primary identification, which must include a recent photograph and signature such as a:· driver’s license· passport· military ID· state ID· company ID

A valid secondary identification which must include your signature, such as a:· credit card· check cashing card· citizenship card· APICS membership card

If you do not bring acceptable forms of identification onexam day, you will be denied admission to the examina-tion and you will forfeit your exam fees. There are no exceptions to this policy.

What You May Bring• An online computer calculator is available during each

computer-based exam, but you may also bring a simple, non-programmable calculator into the exam room.

• English–foreign language dictionaries are the only writ-ten materials that you may bring into the exam room. The test center manager will inspect these dictionaries before you are admitted to the testing room.

What Not to Bring• You may not bring the APICS Dictionary into the exam

room.• You may not bring books or papers of any kind into

the exam room. Scratch paper or dry-erase board will be provided to exam candidates.

• Electronic devices, including cell phones, are not allowed.

2. Schedule the examAccess the Pearson VUE website at pearsonvue.com/apics to schedule your exam. Candidates can schedule their exam up to 24 hours prior to the chosen date, as long as there is availability. You may also call Pearson VUE Customer Care at (866) 583-8949.

Have the following information ready when you call Pearson VUE or enter the online registration site. The name with which you registered for the exam must match your identification card and what APICS has on record. If your name does not match, you will not be allowed to enter the testing room and you will forfeit your fees. If your name has changed, you need to bring documentation that shows the change.

• Your APICS customer number• Your method of payment

- Credit card (MasterCard, VISA, American Express, or Discover). Please note: credit cards will be charged the day of registration—not the exam date.

- Valid exam voucher, if applicable• Date of the exam• Location of the testing center• Your location (mailing address, fax number, and email

address)

3. Check your confirmation notice when it arrive.Pearson VUE Customer Care will provide a confirmationnotice as soon as you finish registering. If any informa-tion on the confirmation notice is incorrect, call PearsonVUE Customer Care immediately.

Note: No on-site payment will be accepted. Advancepayment is required for all exam registrations.

ReceiptsCandidates can print receipts from the Pearson VUEregistration website. If you have scheduled and paidfor an exam, you can log on to the Pearson VUE Website, select “view schedule,” and select the appropriateexam name. You will be able to print out a copy of your receipt at this point. If you do not have access to the web-site, request a receipt while scheduling your exam with a Pearson VUE Customer Care representative by telephone.

Changes and CancellationsTo cancel an exam, contact Pearson VUE at least 24 hours before your scheduled exam date. There is a can-cellation fee of $200 (USD) that will apply. Candidates will be refunded their fee minus the cancellation fee to the credit card that was used to pay for the exam. To reschedule an exam, contact Pearson VUE at least 24 hours before your scheduled exam date. There is a rescheduling fee of $15 (USD). Reschedules must be done within the same test window.

Inclement WeatherPearson VUE will delay or cancel the APICS exam only in emergencies. If severe weather or a natural disaster makes the testing center inaccessible or unsafe, the exam will be canceled. You may call Pearson VUE Customer Care to check on the status of the day’s exam. Exams canceled because of bad weather can be rescheduled— without addi-tional charge to you—by calling Pearson VUE Customer Care.

I received an authorization-to-test notice from APICS for a previous exam. I did not take the exam and would like to register for the next exam. Do I have to re-apply for eligibility?No. Once a candidate’s exam eligibility application isapproved and the candidate receives an authorization-to test notice from APICS, he or she will not be required to re-apply for eligibility to register for and take an APICS CSCP exam in the future.

Do I have to be an APICS member to become certified?No, but you will save money if you are a member. APICS members receive a significant discount on exam reg-istration fees and APICS CSCP preparation materials. Nonmembers may apply for eligibility and then register for an exam but first must call APICS Customer Support to obtain an APICS customer ID number.

Can I become an APICS member and register for an exam at the same time?No. Your membership status must be active when you register to ensure that you receive the member rate. To allow adequate time for your membership information to be processed and recorded, you should wait until you have received your membership card before attempting

• Protractors, compasses, rulers, stencils, digital assis-tants, and other aids are not permitted.

• You may not eat, drink, or use tobacco during an exam.• Visitors are not permitted at the test center.

Can I show up at the test site if I did not receive notification that I was registered?No. You must contact APICS first to confirm you areregistered. No candidates will be allowed in the test center if they are not registered.

Can candidates do a brain dump during the exam?Yes, candidates are allowed to do a brain dump after the exam has officially started. This activity must be part of the total time allocation for the test and done on dry erase boards given by the test center staff. Any brain dumping that has occurred prior to the start of the test is considered an outside resource being brought in and will not be allowed at the test site.
