The hand is now in the shape you need it.

To add some claws on the ends of the fingers take a piece of thin cardboard and, using the width of a finger, draw a triangle shape, and then do four more. Close the shapes and you will have five triangles.

Cut them out and tape them onto the fingers like gruesome fingernails.

Take the glove full of cotton wool and close it with tape. Attach it to the middle of the cardboard circle, making sure it’s firmly attached and secured in a good position.

Then shape the fingers so they look like they’re in a claw position, almost as if it was about to grab you.

Add tape to the backs and the fronts of the fingers to hold them and make sure they don’t lose their shape. And lastly, put a little tape under the thumb so it sticks up.

Take a rubber glove and fill it full of cotton wool. Next take a thick piece of cardboard and place a bowl on it.

Draw the outline in pencil and you’ll get a circle. Then cut it out - ask a grown-up to assist you with this.

A very creepy hand indeed! Maybe put it somewhere unexpected to make your friends or family jump!

Now it’s your turn! Create a creepy hand and have a handful of laughs playing with your friends!

Then, with a dry brush, dab on some blue paint, blot it on a cloth and gently shade between the fingers.

You can add as much detail you want. It’ll make your monster hand even creepier!

When the hand is dry, take a black felt-tip pen and draw in all the lines, including the finger nails and lines on the knuckles.

Now let’s give our hand the creepy treatment! Start by painting the base; use green paint to make it look like the hand is coming out of the ground through grass.

Using blue paint, cover the hand completely, including the nails.

With more green paint, add swirly lines to the hand to look like grass stains.

To make your hand durable, add Art Attack paste, which is equal parts water and glue, and stick on strips of paper towel all over entire exterior surface.

Tip - do this from bottom to top. Cover the fingernails so they’ll be strong and won’t break. Then let it dry.
