    CREEKSTONES MISSION

"Creekstone Church exists to glorify God by helpingpeople come alive to the wonder of Gods grace."

    WE AIM TO ACCOMPLISH THIS

    MISSION:

    Through Grace-Driven Teaching,

    Through Grace-Shaped Community, and

    Through Grace-Motivated Outreach.

    ESSENTIAL BELIEFS

The BibleThe Bible is Gods special revelation to humanity, centering on the glory of Gods grace through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Therefore, as the word ofGod, the Bible alone is our ultimate authority for all oflife, theologically, devotionally and practically.

FaithPeople are reconciled to God, not by their own goodworks, but through faith alone in the good works ofJesus. Therefore, someone becomes a Christian not bydoing for God, but by receiving from God.

GraceSalvation being through faith alone means that peopleare reconciled to God by grace alone through thesubstitutionary death of Jesus. Therefore, the Christians

standing before God is a gift, not a reward.

JesusOur only hope of forgiveness, righteousness, and eternallife is only gained through the life, death andresurrection of Jesus Christ, not by any merit or effort ofour own.

The Glory of GodThe goal of our theology is that God alone would receivethe glory for redeeming, adopting and empoweringsinners with new life. Therefore, there is no room for self-righteousness in the gospel, but only for boasting in thecross of Jesus.

For a more in-depth survey of our theological orientation, check out the Westminster Confession of Faith and

Catechisms and/or our extended theological summary onthe Creekstone website.

The Creekstone office is located on the Historic Square at40-B Public Square South just above the Mass BayTrading Company. The mailing address is PO Box 1234,Dahlonega, GA, 30533.

THE REVOLUTION: A STUDY INTHE BOOK OF ACTS

    Message #20 Disconnected

TODAYS BIBLE PASSAGE: Acts 11:1-18 (ESV)

1 Now the apostles and the brothers who were throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the wordof God. 2 So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcision party criticized him, saying, 3 You went touncircumcised men and ate with them.

4But Peter began and explained it to them in order: 5I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw avision, something like a great sheet descending, being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came downto me. 6Looking at it closely, I observed animals and beasts of prey and reptiles and birds of the air. 7And I heard avoice saying to me, Rise, Peter; kill and eat. 8But I said, By no means, Lord; for nothing common or unclean hasever entered my mouth. 9But the voice answered a second time from heaven, What God has made clean, do notcall common. 10This happened three times, and all was drawn up again into heaven.11And behold, at that very moment three men arrived at the house in which we were, sent to me from Caesarea.12And the Spirit told me t o go with them, making no distinction. These six brothers also accompanied me, and weentered the man's house. 13And he told us how he had seen the angel stand in his house and say, Send to Joppaand bring Simon who is called Peter; 14he will declare to you a message by which you will be saved, you and allyour household.

15As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as on us at the beginning. 16And I remembered the word ofthe Lord, how he said, John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. 17If then God gavethe same gift to them as he gave to us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could stand inGod's way? 18When they heard these things they fell silent. And they glorified God, saying, Then to the Gentilesalso God has granted repentance that leads to life.
