)n the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. &ut the earth had no shape. )t was empty,

covered with only dar"ness and water. *hen the #pirit of God hovered over the water and God

said, +et there be light.$ *hen God divided the light from the dar"ness and (e called the light

the daytime and the dar"ness (e called night time. *his was the first day.

God divided the waters below from the waters above to ma"e the s"y and the sea. *his was the

#tudents will be given a crossword puzzle, entitled in the beginning, to complete. After students

are through doing the puzzle, they will be as"ed to spell the words and "ey terms will be defined.

according to their genders, discussion will be stimulated after each verse.

Evolution is a process that results in heritable changes in a population spread over many

generations.

Theories and Stories

Although some scientists disagree, most believe that the universe started with a +ig +ang, some

45,;;; million years ago. &efore this happened, neither space nor time existed. As a result of the

aspects of the earth were created.

evolution had ta"en place by natural selection. *his means that each species needs to adapt to

its environment or die out. )n the end, only the fittest of the species survive.
