Who We areGibbsteel was founded in 1998 as a trading and warehousing business. Over the next decade, the business of Gibbsteel extended down its supply chain to become a value-adding steel-processing operation. The company now employs 140 staff, and sells approximately 50,000 tons of steel per annum. Its steel conversion processes are conducted at its manufacturing facilities situated in Gauteng and Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. At these facilities, steel coil is processed into a range of value-added steel product.

our MarKeTGibbsteel supplies steel product to a number of wholesale, retail and manufacturing businesses, which include engineering shops and end-user customers across a range of industries. Outside of South Africa, Gibbsteel has developed a customer base with sales in Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique and Malawi.

PaTenTeD DesignsIn addition to the traditionally available products on the market, Gibbsteel has developed patented designs for some of its products which include: • a concealed fix roofing solution, which allows for positive fixing without piercing of the roofsheet, significantly reducing rust and leak risks, and• galvanized fencing products with a robust and lighter design, offering the same structural integrity of traditional fencing product.
