3-Chip DLP™

Three Independent DLP™ Chips for

Accurate Color Reproduction

Our 3-Chip DLP™ SOLID SHINE Laser Phosphor

projectors feature independent DLP™ modules for red,

green, and blue and a Color Filter Prism for accurate

Rec. 709-compliant color performance. The blue laser

light, meanwhile, ensures greater precision while an

expanded color gamut improves white balance

accuracy for natural and lifelike image reproduction.

1-Chip DLP™

Outstanding Image Quality with Quartet Color Harmonizer

Quartet Color Harmonizer optical drive for 1-Chip DLP™ SOLID SHINE

Laser Phosphor projectors enables image quality beyond competitive

lamp-based systems with the real-world benefits of laser. It improves

white balance for natural color expression and enhances brightness by

maximizing available light through four discrete color channels. Our

LED/Laser hybrid light source, meanwhile, combines the best of both

technologies to extend maintenance-free operation and improve color

performance.

Stunning Pictures from Panasonic’s SOLID SHINE DLP™ System

Bright and Vivid Picture QualityThe SOLID SHINE Laser projector series combines DLP™ imaging power

with Panasonic’s original SOLID SHINE Laser technology to achieve truly

stunning picture quality. Powerful solid-state laser light sources, a

heat-resistant phosphor wheel, and quality DLP™ chips ensure

class-leading brightness, color accuracy, and contrast performance.

Accurate Color ReproductionThe SOLID SHINE Laser series captures a more accurate

Rec. 709-compliant color space than comparable laser projectors.

A blue laser ensures greater precision, while an expanded color

gamut improves white balance accuracy.

Dust-Resistant for Ultimate EnduranceSOLID SHINE Laser series projectors have airtight laser modules and a unique

air-intake system to extend life and maintain picture quality in dusty locations.

SOLID SHINE Laser products exceed rigorous dustproofing requirements for

operation in environments containing 0.150 mg of dust per cubic meter*3.

SOLID SHINE Laser Architecture for Reliable, High-Quality Operation

Efficient Cooling System Assures Reliable Operation Selected models employ a unique direct liquid cooling

system for the laser light source that features a

redesigned air intake and a solid aluminum heat sink to

suppress temperature rises. This allows stable operation

in ambient temperatures of up to 50 °C (122 °F)*6 while

reducing operating noise.

Eco Filter Delivers Up to 20,000-hour*1 Replacement CyclePanasonic 3-Chip DLP™ SOLID SHINE Laser

projectors feature an Eco Filter incorporating an

electrostatic Micro Cut Filter that collects minute

dust particles with an ion effect. It joins a

dust-resistant cabinet to enable long-term use

even in punishing conditions. A long maintenance

cycle of up to 20,000 hours*1 reduces hassle, and

the washable filter*2 can be reused to reduce cost

and waste. Our 1-Chip DLP™

SOLID SHINE Laser

projectors, meanwhile,

employ a filterless design.

Heat-resistant phosphor wheel ensures high brightness and excellent reliability for long periods.

Ultra-Durable Laser Optical Engine for Continuous 24-hour OperationSelected models feature a Dual Drive Laser Optical

Engine*4 that uses two discrete light sources grouping

laser diodes into modules. A failsafe laser light source

redundancy circuit ensures minimal reduction in

brightness and color uniformity in the event of laser

diode failure, making these models ideal for

mission-critical applications. Further, brightness

decreases gradually and in a linear rather than

exponential fashion (as is common to lamp-based

projectors) over its 20,000-hour*5 maintenance-free

service life.

SOLID SHINE: Delivering Premier Image Quality and Ultimate Endurance

Our DLP™- and LED/Laser-based SOLID SHINE projectors offer superior performance in four key areas: image

quality, reliability, flexibility, and economy. Firstly, high brightness, detail resolution, and color reproduction result

in pictures of unparalleled realism. All models are engineered for continuous 24/7 operation with very low

maintenance and less picture degradation over time, and all offer compatibility with existing AV infrastructure for

installation in any venue. These features translate into low cost of ownership. For ultimate reliability and

performance in professional applications, SOLID SHINE is the perfect solution.

Dynamic Light Control for High 10,000:1*2 Contrast Ratio

PT-RZ670 Series controls laser light-source output directly for faster response

than lamp-based projectors. Digitally controlled frame-by-frame scene-linking

modulation enables precision adjustment for a high 10,000:1*2 contrast ratio

without losing brightness. Contrast is accurately controlled even when bright

and dark scenes frequently interchange, and there’s almost no contrast

reduction even when the projector is used for extended periods.

Contrast and Brightness Modes for Long-lasting Image Quality

While lamp-based projector brightness declines rapidly, laser output

decreases gradually and in a linear fashion. The PT-RZ670 Series has

brightness and color sensors that adjust and maintain brightness. In Normal

Mode with up to 6,500 lm brightness, the light source lasts for approximately

20,000 hours*3. Eco Mode (5,200 lm) extends service life to about 24,000

Bright and Beautiful Pictures That Last and Last

PT-RZ470/RW430/RZ370/RW330 outputs 3,500 lumens, and brightness deteriorates

far more slowly than comparable lamp-based projectors. The SOLID SHINE drive has

a built-in sensor that measures light-source intensity and performs necessary

corrections to color and white balance automatically. This maintains dynamic

high-contrast pictures for longer. And the PT-RZ470/RZ475/RZ370 does it all in Full HD

thanks to a 1920 x 1080 DLP™ chip, no resizing needed.

Approx. 20,000 Hours*1 24/7 Operation with LED/Laser Light Source

The laser light source needs no maintenance for around 20,000 hours*1—in many

cases, you can set and forget until your next refresh cycle. No lamp burnout

problems and no filters to clean thanks to fully sealed optics. The result is big savings

and less hassle.

Superior Color Reproduction
