HOW TO CREATE A CUSTOM DASHBOARD AND WIDGETS IN OPEN-AUDIT
Dashboards
• Available Dashboards are listed in the drop-down
• List will only include dashboards current user has permissions for
• Permissions are controlled by Organization level assigned Dashboard and User
• Professional ships with 3 Dashboards, Enterprise with 5
• Enterprise also has the ability to create/edit dashboards
How to create dashboards that drive action.
Dashboards
• Select Manage -> Dashboards –> List Dashboards, from the Open-AudIT menu
• Shipping dashboards can be edited, but not deleted
• OA only supports a 3x2 layout
• Widgets are defined under Manage -> Widgets -> List Widgets
• Logged-in user must have appropriate Org to see Dashboard
• To Create a NEW Dashboard click Create or select Manage -> Dashboards -> Create

Widgets
• Select Manage -> Widgets -> List Widgets from the Open-AudIT menu
• Easiest way to learn to create new widgets is by disassembling existing widgets

• To Create a NEW Widget click Create or select Manage -> Widgets -> Create Widgets from
the Open-AudIT menu

• Get very specific results using the Advanced SQL option
• Make sure the Link entry includes any filters or special parameters used in the SQL
• Use your browser’s ability to open multiple windows/tabs and edit widgets in one tab,
then refresh a Dashboard with the in-progress Widget in it
