Sometimes you have to come to a conclusion when you don’t have all the facts. You can use the clues given to help you make an inference (a guess based on known facts).

Read each sentence and choose an inference for each one.

Your neighbors just drove away with their suitcases and skis.

• They are going to vacation at the beach.

Your dad is in the yard with a shovel, rake, and hose.
