LINE is the path of a point moving through space. It has

direction. Think of a knife cutting vegetables.

LINE has 2 properties that compare to the ingredients that go into a recipe.

Quality, or unique characteristics- each line, like each food, is unique

Texture

is how things feel or look as if they would feel if touched. Think of it as the way food feels on your tongue.

Real texture is what you can actually feel.

Simulated or visual texture is a picture that reminds us of what something feels like.
