Tax Refund: Recently, members of our parish received receipts for the contributions you made to the parish during 2013. You also received a form which allows the parish to reclaim the tax you have already paid on your donation without any additional cost to you. We would be grateful if you would complete and return the form to the parish office during the coming week. Thank you for your generous and unfailing support. St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Food Appeal: SVDP have once again asked us to help with their Christmas Food Appeal. Food Appeal boxes will be placed in both Churches. Times are difficult for many families in these poor economic times and your donation, no matter how small is very much appreciated. It is hoped to get as much as possible in during the next two weeks. The boxes will remain in the Churches until Sunday 21 st De- cember. Thanking you for your kindness as always in this appeal. The Annual Christmas Day Swim: The 11 th annual Christmas Day swim will take place at Gortglass Lake at 12noon on Christmas Day. All proceeds to the West Clare Mini Marathon Cancer Fund. Senior Citizens Party: will be held in Tír na n-Óg on January 18th. Defib Church gate Collection: Thank ;you to all who helped and contributed to the collection for the Defib fund on 6th & 7th Dec. Total amount collected €483. There are three Defibs in the area since 2008 requiring maintenance. A training programme is in place since Jan 2014for an On-Call Text Alert System for Cranny Coolmeen should an emergency arise More volunteers are necessary in some areas of the parish.
