Peace Be With You – When Jesus appears to his Apostles after his resurrection from the dead, he bestowed upon them the gift they needed most: his peace. The Apostles were afraid. Their master and teacher, Jesus, had been
betrayed by one of them, arrested and brutally killed by crucifixion, and they were terrified that they would meet the same fate, and soon. Yet, this peace was not an invitation to sit back and relax. Instead, this peace is followed by the request of Jesus, “as the Father has sent me, so I send you,” and the sharing of the gift of the Holy Spirit so that the Apostles can begin to go out and continue the mission of Christ in the world. As we continue to celebrate Easter and the gift of new life in the resurrection, we are at peace knowing that we need no longer fear sin or death. At the same time, we are called, like the Apostles, to fulfill the mission of Jesus through the Church. This is the call of On Mission for The Church Alive! that continues in earnest. May the Lord bestow his grace and peace upon us so that we may be willing to work hard to enliven our parishes and grow the Church. Visit onmissionchurchalive.org to learn more and to stay informed.

St. Christopher on the Lake SCL will prepare an Italian dinner for you and have a Flea Market on Saturday May 4. The Dinner will be Served from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm and the Flea Market will be open from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. Adults are $11 and Children are $5 for dinners.
Sock Hop: Revisited - Thank you, to everyone who came out and supported our 20th annual auction! A great time was had by all and many went away with some great prizes; from our amazing class baskets, to the fashionable purses, to the basket of cheer! This is a huge fundraiser for our school, and we could not do it without the support of all of you. Please see the insert for a full list of auction winners!

If you are between the ages of 18 and 39, the St. Ferdinand Young Adult Ministry would love for you to be part of their group events. Please visit Ministry Meet-Up if you would like to join in activities with other young adults for group dinners and happy hours, Mass, followed by parish brunch, participation in community events as festivals, spiritual speakers, etc., and Bible study discussions. Prayer and Theology is Friday, April 26, at 6:00 pm in the Holy Family Room.
Weekend Retreat for Post Abortion Healing-Rachel's Vineyard, a weekend designed to heal the emotional and spiritual wounds of abortion, will be held May 17-19, at The Ark and The Dove. In a confidential and supportive atmosphere, Rachel's Vineyard demonstrates God's love, compassion, and forgiveness to women and men struggling in abortion's aftermath. Pray for Our Loved Ones Who are Sick
The Next Baptism Class is Tomorrow, April 29 and will be held at St. Ferdinand at 7:00 pm. Call the St. Ferdinand Parish Office at 724.776.2888 to register. Classes are required if you have not attended one in the past three years.
Mandated Reporter Class will be held at St. Gregory in the Blue Room on Tuesday, June 4, from 6 pm to 9 pm. Anyone who wishes to volunteer in any activity that has contact with children, when they are in the care of the school or church, are required by the State of Pennsylvania and Diocese of Pittsburgh policy to be certified, mandated reporters. Please sign up for the class at St. Gregory at www.stgregparish.org (highlight by scrolling over St. Gregory in the top menu bar for the drop down menu and click on the ‘Protecting Children’ page. St. Ferdinand will Host an Afternoon Tea on Sunday, May 5, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. Join them for an afternoon of tea, scones, tea sandwiches and desserts. Also included is a basket raffle, a 50/50 and door prizes. Adults are $17 and children are $6. Call 724.685.3388 for info by Friday, April 26.

Today, Divine Mercy Prayer Group will lead a Devotional Service at 3:00 pm in honor of God’s Divine Mercy. The hour of prayer will include the Chaplet of Mercy, St. Faustina’s Praises of Divine Mercy, the Rosary, and Veneration of the Image. Please join us as we look forward to spending this hour with you.

St. Gregory PTG’s Super Bingo is next Sunday, May 5, in the Bergman Event Center. Doors open at 12:30 pm and Early Birds begin at 1:15 pm.
St. Gregory Parish has a second collection on the weekend of May 5 & 6, for the Appalachia Mission Trip to West Virginia during the week of June 9, this summer. This second collection will help fund the trip to feed the many volunteers going, and to help purchase materials for the projects they will be completing while there. Please be generous to our neighbors to the South!
Rosary Prayer Group will meet in St. Matthias Church on Monday, May 6 at 7 pm. Come pray the Rosary and the Divine Chaplet for all intentions received. Call with your prayer intentions to Mary Ann LaLonde at 724.538.8567. Put the power of group prayer and friendship to work for you!

St. Gregory School Children’s Choir are taking their beautiful voices on the road to Holy Redeemer Parish in Ellwood City on Saturday, May 11, at the 5:00 pm Mass.

St. Gregory Appalachian Mission Group will sell their homemade hoagies after all masses next weekend, May 4th and 5th. All proceeds from the fresh, homemade, $5 footlong sub goes 100% for our mission to the Appalachia Mountains in WV this June 2019.
