For all other uses, please request permission from info@stnicholascenter .org Slipper For St. Nicholas Day  Material: Colored 2-mm foam sheet or poster board Colored felt Gold 3-D scribble paint Construction paper (for decorations) 12-inch piece of ribbon Embroidery floss (if you sew on toe area ) Craft glue Equipment: Scissors Tapestry needle (if you sew on toe area) Paper shaper punch (found in craft stores), for making quick decorative pieces Directions: 1. Cut sol e of sl ipper out of co lor ed foam or poster board. 2. Use 3-D scri bble pai nt to write “H appy S t. Nic hola s Day” on heel part of foam sole. Let dry 2–4 hours. 3. Cut to e p art o f sl ipp er o ut of fe lt. 4. Sew or glue to e part in position on sole . Sew or glue ju st around ed ge of sole, le aving ce nter open . If you used glue, let dry (the toe part could be held in place with small clothes pins until dry). 5. Dec orate to e part with p aper pu nch cu t outs, or an other way . Let dry . 6. Make 2 small ho les in top of sli pper . Thread ribb on throug h holes , tie into a bow.

    Slipper For St. Nicholas Day

    Directions:1. Cut sole of slipper out of colored foam or poster board.2. Use 3-D scribble paint to write Happy St. Nicholas Day on heel part of foam sole.

    Let dry 24 hours.3. Cut toe part of slipper out of felt. 4. Sew or glue toe part in position on sole. Sew or glue just around edge of sole, leaving center open.

    If you used glue, let dry (the toe part could be held in place with small clothes pins until dry).5. Decorate toe part with paper punch cut outs, or another way. Let dry.6. Make 2 small holes in top of slipper. Thread ribbon through holes, tie into a bow.
