The Treasure Hunt was developed for Group Leaders interested in facilitating the learning of Young Scholars in Grades K – 3. Questions were designed to help Facilitators navigate their Groups through the Museum while also imparting knowledge about the C.R. Smith Museum’s Treasures and achieving the Academic Objectives listed below. ACADEMIC OBJECTIVES: Language Development: Listening, Understanding, Speaking, Communicating Cognitive Development: Logical Thinking, Problem Solving, Recognizing Diversity Approaches to Learning: Curiosity/Persistence, Invention/Imagination, Reasoning/Reflecting Social/Emotional Development: Self-Expression/Self-Control, Self-Concept, Social Interaction Curriculum: Science, Reading, Language Arts, Math, Art, Health/Safety, Social Studies, Technology

RECOMMENDATIONS: Ratios should consist of 5 - 10 Young Scholars per 1 Adult Facilitator. Please print and bring enough Treasure Hunts for all Group Leaders. Note: Answers to Treasure Hunt questions appear directly after each question.

To aid in the exploration and location of educational and historical Treasures, the Museum has been divided into FIVE main sections:
