Tips:

1. LCP-300 support Wi-Fi auto connect function, for Wi-Fi that connected last time, LCP could

connect it automatically without typing in the password. (The Wi-Fi dongle need to be plugged in the

same USB slot)

2. If the uplink status displays , it means the Wi-Fi has been connected before.

Lock: Click on to lock on current Wi-Fi and LCP will connect to this Wi-Fi only, regardless

of other available Wi-Fi.

Forget: Eliminate the memory of Wi-Fi password, and LCP will not connect to current Wi-Fi

automatically.

Priority: Including Hign/Medium/Low/Off, which will determines the degree that current link

will participate in the transmission.

Tips:

1. About Primary/Secondary Encoder: LCP-300 support 2 encoding streams output, primary

encoding stream is for live broadcasting to target R2TP Relay Server, secondary encoding stream is

for video preview and video recording function. Therefore, for application that need video recording,

it is recommended to raise the secondary encoder standard, to guarantee the video recording quality.

(Reference: 15Mbps, 1080P/1080I)

2. About VQ Optimization: For high definition video (1080P/1080I), LCP-300 support video

quality optimization function, which can effectively reduce the video quality loss in lower encoding

bitrate. (below 3Mbps)

6 Upgrade LCP-300 support software upgrade by Web, U-disk or FTP.

6.1 Upgrade by Web

Open Device Information page via web control, as follows:

Click to choose the upgrade package and click to start upgrade.

During the upgrade, LCD screen will display “Updating” and recover to display the basic status

info when the upgrade is finished.

6.2 Upgrade by U-disk

The process is as follows:

1. Put the upgrade package (e.g. update_packs-v2.3.624, 2.3.624 is the software version number)

in the root directory of the U-disk;

2. After LCP has booted up, plug the U-disk in the USB slot of LCP;

3. The Basic Setting page will display the recognition information of the U-disk as follows. It

means the system has recognized the upgrade package in the U-disk;

Figure6.1 U-disk Recognition

4. Reboot the LCP and keep the U-disk plug in. The upgrading process will conduct automatically

during booting. After device starting up, users can check the updated software version in the

Device Information page, and pull out the U-disk.

32

LCP-300 User Manual

Tips:

1. The U-disk need to be in FAT32 format, and do not support NTFS format.

2. If the web page displays “Find out USB disk plug in, without LCP-II update file.”, it means

the system doesn’t identify the upgrade package, please confirm that the upgrade package is put in the

root directory of the U-disk. If the web page doesn’t display any information after U-disk plugged in, it

means LCP may not support the current type of U-disk.

3. Repeatedly plugging in the U-disk, the web page will not displays the recognition message,

however LCP can still fulfill software upgrade through device rebooting.

6.3 Upgrade by FTP

The process is as follows:

1. Connect the LCP hotspot by PC (Take windows OS as an example);

2. Open My Computer, type ftp://192.168.2.1/ftp_update/ in the address bar, and press Enter;

3. Put the upgrade package (e.g. update_packs-v2.3.624, 2.3.624 is the software version number)

in the current directory;

4. Reboot the LCP. The upgrading process will conduct automatically during booting. After

device starting up, users can check the updated software version in the Device Information

page.

7 Q&A Q1:

——I inserted a new wifi/4g dongle to LCP when streaming live, and expected it to share the streaming flow.

However, it seemed not observed from statistic. I was sure the new dongle had been linked to the Internet.

That’ why?

A:

Currently, a new connected link will not attend ongoing transmission automatically. Pause and resume

transmission again if you want the new link to take part in the live pushing.

Q2:

——I inserted several wifi/3g/4g modules onto LCP. After starting live, I observed not every module take part

in transmission as some bit rate is 0. Is it normal?

A:

It’s normal. There are 2 possibilities for NOT TX Link:

1. The capability of other links except NOT TX Link is enough to handle current live transmission, so LCP

didn’t use it.

2. From the result of network detection, the performance of NOT TX Link is very poor and be abandoned to the

TX task.

Q3:

——I want to upload video using LCP-300 in hotel room, whereas verification is required from webpage if you

use wifi in the room. What can I do?

A:

You can do it following the steps:

Insert one wifi dongle (keep other USB port empty). Configure the wifi to join in hotel’ Access Point by your

mobile or laptop.

Now the mobile or laptop connected to LCP can access the network verification page of hotel. Finishing

verification process, then your LCP can access Internet too.

Q4:

——I set encoder to CBR mode, whereas the bit rate is jumping up and down. Sometimes differ greatly. Why?

A:

The statics you mentioned is TX bit rate, which indicates the real transmitting rate of the streaming. It will be

affected by undulate network conditions. In a healthy network, the receiver can handle the situations and de-jitter the

streaming when feeding to subsequent process.
