The coyote totem is strikingly paradoxical and is hard to categorize. It’s a teacher

of hidden wisdom with a sense of humor, so the messages of the coyote spirit

animal may paradoxically appear in the form of a joke or trickery. Don’t be tricked

by the foolish appearances. The spirit of the coyote may remind you to not take

things too seriously and bring more balance between wisdom and playfulness.

Coyote Symbolism

The coyote often symbolizes the trickster or joker. However, its symbolism is associated with a

deep magic of life and creation. It can be considered as having the following meanings:

Jokester

Adaptability

Reveal the truth behind illusion and chaos

Playfulness

Paradoxical nature, personality difficult to categorize

Beware of the dark side of things and play on your resources

The hidden wisdom of the coyote spirit

The wisdom delivered by the coyote spirit animal is rarely direct. The way of the coyote is to teach

through ways that do not appear straightforward. It may also use subterfuge or trickery to reach its

goal or deliver its message.

Don’t be fooled by the coyote’s way: In any circumstances you encounter, no matter how pleasant

or clear they appear to be, there’s a hidden wisdom for you to reap. Be aware of the round about

ways of the coyote totem and its teachings.

Coyote spirit and not taking things seriously

If the coyote spirit animal crosses your way, you may be encouraged to not take things too

seriously. Perhaps you need to lighten up or change your perspective about an issue or matter

that has been on your mind for a while.

Call on the spirit of the coyote to support you in refreshing your perspective and lighten the weight

of circumstances. Even if the coyote is often presented in many stories as a trickster and a spirit

animal bringing complication to whoever crosses his path, it is a good reminder to keep things

simple and open up to possibilities.

Coyote totem and teachings with a sense of humor

It’s sometimes hard to grasp the wisdom of the coyote without experiencing some unsettling or

disruptive feelings. Here, serious pieces of wisdom and playfulness often go hand in hand and

appearances may be deceiving. The wisdom of the coyote may appear through a joke or what

shows as trickery.

There’s often wisdom in making fun of serious matters and letting go of certainties. Call on the

coyote to reinvigorate an appreciation of life’s wisdom through diversity and richness. This animal

totem provides his teaching with a good sense of humor.

The Coyote, the magic in life, and the unexpected

The coyote totem is symbolic of the magic in life and creation. In some traditional stories, it is

associated with the dark side of witchcraft and is considered as a bad omen. The flipside of these

negative associations is the spirit of resourcefulness and ability to survive.

When the coyote spirit animal shows up in your life, it might lead you to experience the unexpected

more fully. Surprises await you. Pay attention, you may also find piece of wisdom in the most

unexpected places. By affinity with the power of adaptability of the coyote, you may be called to be

flexible and adjust to a situation that you did not anticipate.

I saw my very first western coyote today, it has been my favorite animal since I was

a small boy. I feel grateful that she spent a few moments with me and my French

bulldog. Thanks for your time.

My best friend of 27 years passed away this year on Mother’s Day & left behind a

loving husband and 12 yr old daughter. My life has NOT been the same since that

horrible day. My best friend had cancer & she kept telling me she would go soon

and that I would have to look out for her daughter when she was gone. I really hated

when she would tell me these words, which now resonate so loudly in my mind. I

miss my friend every single day and the sadness I feel in my heart is something no

one could ever understand. I went to the cemetery yesterday to take her a small

Christmas tree & tamale and sit at her grave & visit with her. Every time I go there &

can’t help but crying & realizing how much I miss her in my life. I always ask her why

she had to go & I feel such sorrow when I am there physically. I have been going to

this cemetery for over 20 yrs now because my brother & sister are buried there

ironically enough & I also visit them. Yesterday as I drove away from my best friends

grave I stopped because I saw two coyotes looking right at me… I stopped my car

and sat there and stared at the coyotes and they stared back at me. I wasn’t afraid,

just shocked to see these two coyotes walking around in the cemetery. But also, I

stared at them as if they were speaking to me. I believe now that those coyotes

were a message from my girlfriend if not her embodied in one of them physically

telling me that all was well. I know my girlfriend would not want me to be sad about

her passing, and I feel like she is always communicating with me through animal

totems and signs around in the universe. This is how close we always had been. I

am so grateful for her life and for the messages the universe gives us if we pay

attention.

Dear Hummingbird,

My mother passed away in June 2012. Whenever I see a hummingbird I think

of her because we both loved them. In the past five weeks, I’ve come across

so many coyotes. One today near Golden Gate Bridge. I was coming down a

trail and there was a woman yelling, “hello.” I came to the bottom of the hill

and there was a woman and a coyote, the woman did not know if she should

pass in front of the coyote. When I yelled out to her, the coyotes heard me

and ran up a hill not far from me. I scattered some of my mom’s ashes near a

tree and a little while ago I went to visit the tree and when I got to the top of

the hill there was a coyote. We stared at each other for a long time.

My mom had a terminal illness and she knew she was dying. Like you, I didn’t

like it when she started to talk about things . . . she would tell me, “I will always

be with you.” I wanted her to be here in the physical not just the spiritual. But

the physical was too painful. There are many times when I feel her close and I

talk to her at the tree. Sometimes if I ask her a question, I can hear her voice

in my head answering. I can also hear her saying, “hey, little sweet-let.”

That’s what she called me. I think the coyote you saw was your friend. When

in the spirit realm, life is one. I think your friend cannot manifest as her old

self, but animals and even plants can be a conduit for the spirits.

Thank you all for your story’s. I will repay you by telling you mine. This year, 2013,

my friend and I hit a small coyote on the road. He was just in the middle of road after

a corner. He went left then right, if he would have chose a direction and took it, he

may have been alive. Maybe I should have chose a direction. Then a month later a

coyote crossed my path, then a few miles later another one. Normally I don’t see

coyotes. Then about a month later I lost my job of 13 years. It was a great job too.

I’ve been fighting depression on and off my whole life (42) and now I can’t stop

thinking about suicide. It saddens me to realize that I have no choice about leaving

this realm, even though it was I who chose it.

I’ve been where you are now James. I can testify that God is not done with

you yet … He has awakened something in you that will change you. And you

will be able to help another person like yourself somewhere down the road.

Keep on keeping on .. people will need to hear your story.

God bless and keep you … there ARE better days ahead.

Perhaps losing your job is an opportunity to embrace your passions in life, you are no

longer committed to the obligation of a job. Maybe go on a trip, or an adventure, spirit

quest perhaps? Things will work out, and get better, maybe it’s just not in the way you

expected. Every single one of us is here for a reason, the world needs you, whether you

can feel that right now or not, it is true. Your energy/ soul is connected to everything and

every one, we are all star dust and we are all love, energy, life. Death is not the

solution. Everything around you loves you, I know how hard it is to feel sometimes, but

it’s always there, the trees feel you and they love you, the earth supports and provides

on every level, the animals love you and feel you, though some are definitely more aware

than others, just like humans but they all love you, whether they are conscious enough to

know they feel it or not, there is always love for a brother, we are all one, there can be no

love for ones self or for anyone or anything without that love radiating to every soul,

every aspect of existence. And just as that is true, it’s true that the immense sadness of

your choosing to leave by death, would ripple across all of existence and that sadness

would hurt every everything, not just those around you. But they would hurt the worst, no

one is better off, not them, not you. If there is pain in this realm then I would imagine

there will be pain in the next, for as I mentioned everything is intimately connected. We

need your help in that healing process, someday the energy of love will take over and

there will be understanding on every level, no judgement, no hate, because there will be

understanding and forgiving, and healing, the hurt and the sadness will be healed, but

we’re not there yet. Perhaps that is why you (and I) struggle with depression, because

the collective is hurting, and i imagine you are quite sensitive to that and it can be very

overwhelming and difficult to overcome, but you can do it, as can I, as can all of us in our

own time. Also, there is a great spirit that watches over us, call him/ her God, or whatever

you like, but he (I felt a masculine energy) loves you more than you can imagine, I know

people say that, and for a long time I didn’t believe them or feel it myself, because I did

not love myself, I was too hurt. But that love is always there, you are looked after, and

there is nothing wrong with you, you just have to let yourself believe it, which is hard. But

people make mistakes, some of them absolutely horrible, but we learn and we heal and

we can be forgiven, it only takes wanting to be. But you are energy, love, your soul is of

that Great Spirit, and all that is negative is not from him, it’s not truly you. The sadness

and the pain will not last! They are anti states of being, not in sync with what is true and

how things are meant to be. Not natural. But sometimes necessary to grow. The world

exists with many polarities, North Pole, South Pole, winter, summer, male, female, young,

old, pain and elation. Sometimes you need one to bring about the best in the other, and

sometimes i think people exist with that same polarity in themselves. But unlike the others

I listed, pain is not a natural thing, as anything not of love is not natural. Find your

calling, you absolutely have one, make the world as amazing as you can, heal, love,

yourself and others. Society is not important, just the souls in it, you are important. What

others think of you is not, as long as your following in your heart the way of love. I’m truly

begging you, don’t leave, don’t give up, I know it’s hard, but please please do for yourself

what you need, be it a trip, talking to someone, meditation, prayer, live life to the fullest!!

I hate to pull this, but a lot of people can’t, live life because you can! Make it anything

and everything you want it to be, because you can do that too, you can do anything!! I

hope you feel better, I’ll check back and see if you have responded, if not its ok but I

would love to know how you’re doing. If you wish to talk I will leave my number as this

other gentlemen did. Also… Sorry this is so damn long!

Hello James.

It appears that you missed the point of coyote. Coyote teaches us to laugh at

life’s mishaps and to remember that, above all, we are magic. Coyote proves

that there is survival and renewed hope in all circumstances. What was the

lesson in the job loss? Coyote teaches through experience. If we choose to

learn then, we can move onto the next lesson.

When I look at my life it is as though I have lived many many lives. Some of

the things took me to my knees and I believed I would never stand again. I

Page 5: Coyote Spirit Animal _ Totem Meaning

lost my rights as an American citizen with one lesson and that one really

clobbered me.

I know what its like to contemplate ending things. And then something

happens that makes me smile. The funny thing is that when it feels like

everything is gone and there is nothing left, I look around and there I am.

That tells me that I am more than the things I have/had. That is the magic.

I hope this helps. I am a coyote person.

Feel free to contact me as I work with healing people in all states and with all

diseases.

*Last night my car broke down after seeing The Hobbit part 2 with friends. I drove to

meet them there, and needed a battery jump after the movie let out around

midnight. Every few miles on the interstate my car would brake down again, and my

friends would have to circle the exit and back around to jump the battery before the

alternator problem took over again. I knew there was something wrong with that

general area of the car as the dash lights, my memory, and my intuition told me this,

but I drove to the movie anyway… My patience was waning fast, I was blaming

myself, I was tired, I was cold, my finger tip hurt annoyingly where I cut the nail way

too low, and at the exit for my house, it broke down one last time before I could get it

up the last two streets to my house. I was beginning to get angry with my friends?

Standing there on the edge of an interstate bridge in my chilly mountain town alone

and waiting for my friends again, I looked across the street at the dimly lit church

parking lot behind me as this lone coyote crossed silently under the amber glow of

the street light and then back through the treeline and into the woods. I just knew.

This wasn’t just your everyday car problem.

I was on my way home from 3-Wheeling in my back yard and the woods around me

and I thought something was following me. I knew, actually. I turned around and

looked frantically because I had never done such a thing at night like I had that day.

I couldn’t find my way home and I was scared. I rode my 3-wheeler for an hour and

still had that cold black shadow following me. Before long, I ended up slamming on

my breaks at the sight of bright yellow eyes flashing from my head lights on my 3-

wheeler, and flipped the thing over myself. I had layed their for quite a few minutes

before those eyes came towards me, and I saw that it was a coyote. I remembered

that coyote’s were more afraid of us then we were of them so I began yelling but it

still came forward. In the light of the moon, I was able to see the coyote as it came to

my face. Grey and orange tips were the color of it’s fur and I even saw a black star

on its chest, and it spoke to me. Not physically, not emotionally, but mentally. In my

head I heard, “Do not give up child, for the power within you lies in the shadow of

your soul. Keep your head up high and don’t let this thing stop you from going

home.” and I pushed my 3-wheeler off of me. I rode it home, but not just home, I was

following the coyote, and it led me out. I was home and it was still daylight out. I think

it was a dream, but every time I go 3-wheeling now, I see the coyote, and know, that

because of it, I am alive.

On my way home this evening, I was getting a ride, and we were driving along and I spotted

something on the road. I couldn’t quite figure out what it was…once we got closer I realized that

I was looking into the eyes, which were “glowing” from the head lights, of a dead coyote on the

road. No one else saw it, and I was in a bit of a state of shock for awhile…I felt very unsettled

right into the pit of my stomach, and I can’t get the image out of my mind. I’m sure this was an

omen of some kind, but I am having troubles figuring it out. Can anyone help me?

I just saw a coyote tonight, as it dashed right in front of my car, driving down a 45

mph, busy street. I’ve never had one cross my path before! I’ve been struggling with

a lot of issues, and yes, I’ve been taking things way too seriously, and responding

poorly, to boot. I need to lighten up on myself and view my situation with a different

lens. I knew that this coyote crossing my path (he was an inch away from getting

hit!) meant something. I felt it in my gut. It’s time for change…this much I know.

Funny how the Universe sends you these hints in such forms…so amazing and

intriguing…

Five years ago this week, my brother-in-law died after a long, difficult illness.

He’d spent three months in an ICU, suffering from complications of cancer

treatments which prevented him from breathing on his own. We spent time

with him as a family the last morning of his life, when it was decided to

withdraw life support and allow him to pass with the assistance of palliative

care. It would be a few hours before his physicians could make all the

arrangements for this to be possible.

A light snow was falling as I drove home in the pre-dawn hours to catch a

couple hours of sleep, my exhausted husband asleep in the passenger seat

beside me. Suddenly, a coyote ran in front of my car from left to right; he

made it across the road before I could even touch my brakes. We drove the

rest of the way home without incident. We returned to the hospital later that

morning.

Bob died about 12 hours later, comfortably and surrounded by his family

I thought about this at the time, and in the years which have followed.

Coyotes have acute hearing; this animal would have been aware of an

approaching car on a deserted road well before our paths intersected. I will

always believe that this coyote was a messenger from Bob. He’d always had a

wonderful sense of humor; this “trickster” was a symbol of his unencumbered

spirit, and his readiness to pass into the next world. He was sent to let me

know that all was well, and that Bob was at peace with what must come.

I saw a coyote spirit just tonight. My friend was telling me about the creatures he had seen

around our neighborhood, awful things. I was getting really depressed and scared from his

stories, and it was very dark out even for nighttime, so everywhere a streetlight was off along

the road it was extra dark. I saw a light flicker on while I was stopped at an intersection with my

friend in the car, and I instinctively pointed at the light saying, “Thanks buddy.” Next thing I

know, a coyote poked it head out from behind the electrical box near the lamppost. I almost

laughed at the sight, and I felt much better afterwards.

I’ve seen this spirit before around my neighborhood at night, always following me around when I

get worried, howling and reminding me that he’s my extra pair of eyes. It’s good to have a spirit

on your side.

So yesterday I saw a coyote while my newly pregnant girlfriend was driving me home

in the morning and again while I was driving to work about 10 hours later then again

when I was leaving work so I really think the coyote was trying to tell me something

especially considering I have never seen a coyote in real life until yesterday and

seeing it three times in one day each time the coyote was closer to me. Now this is

where I’m really confused I know that the coyote is considered a trickster but he is

also the bringer of seeds of life in the Navajo tradition. So what’s confusing me is I’m

suspecting that my pregnant girlfriend isn’t being completely truthful with me and

that the baby might not even be mine because she was with some one else a few

months before we got together. On the other hand if the coyote is the bringer of

new life is it telling me that the baby is mine.

for yours and uour bf soul, I am telling you that whatever you feel inside your heart

is a sign of a higher power. Ehether it be a sighting of an animal are just odd

coinsidences, what you described about your current situation says it all… You

Know your addiction is progressing, You know that YOU wanted to get better! Im

going to say something you definitely dont want to hear, you and your boyfriend will

NOT get clean and live normal livestogether UNLESS you both get some kind of

obvious treatment but away from each other for a while, you will continue to draw on

each others weaknesses, MAYBE youll feel like you dont want to use but he does or

he doesnt and you do. I know the feeling all to well the little itch that cant be

scratched, I think the coyote is maybe a sign of the paradox nature of your

relationship, since it showed itself to both of you separately. Revealing the truth

behind the illusion and caos of _________….. you fill in the blank, your relationship,

your addiction….. Now from my personal experience I became addicted to pills at 19

heroin at 20 and anything I could try from there. I was an honor student very bright

and beautiful, by age 21 I had been aressted 12 times for larceny to driving under

the influence, then spent 3 months in prison and 7 months after that in a treatment

program, this is where things get stupid aftrr that clean time I amounted from lock up

and rehab I eent back to my hometown back to my boyfriend and decided to get

back on heroin one night together we were not happy together anymore because

the fun and excitment we had using together couldnt be surmounted by sitting at

home like a normal human being , and im not going to lie it was relieving to hear him

say lets take a ride to the city, because I was thinking it the whole time, back on it

again clean for a year and within one week I was back with the aches and pains of

withdrawl, we were each others trigger BOTTOMLINE! You know how this story goes

and if you dont I wound up using from age 23 to age 25 so 18 to 25 with a clean

year in there somewhere. And that bf…. who know still using I guess, I have a great

man I met in treatment after being clean for a year, life will give you what you need

at the right time, the coyote is the shapshifter and wants you to maybe know that

you can change too but change doesnt come easily or free you will hsve to sacrifice

something or things, it took me 7 yrs please dont make same mistakes I missed out

on sooo much growing and learning stunted by the drug! Goodluck♡

This is bizarre. I lead a guided meditation with a client and felt a coyote’s presence. I

mentioned that an animal just came in, but didn’t mention it the coyote to the client.

Hours later, I had a car accident and believe that I hit a coyote on a highway. For

some reason, I felt deep gratitude to it sacrificing its life to teach me something. But

what? I spoke with my client today and told her about the accident. Unsolicited, she

told me that during the meditation hours before the accident, she saw a coyote

during the meditation. We both saw coyotes without telling the other, then I hit one?

What could the message be? I feel it appeared to protect me from something more

dangerous. My car is out of commission for weeks. Anyone willing to guess? I also

yes, you may want to look at why you didn’t mention that the animal

you felt was a coyote…this blockage to the truth is just the type of thing

that coyote medicine likes to free-up with a lesson. Often their medicine

Coyote spirit is ultimately a lover. It wants the best for everybody. In reading

these posts, I’ve noticed that many, many people have had the experience of

hitting Coyote with a vehicle; and they and wondering about the inherent

message. “All y’all need to slow down your driving.” seems to be the

message. And if you simply cannot find yourself willing to ease off the gas

peddle, learn to honk your horn at animals in danger; they often respond to

to a car horn, it seems moreso than to the visual cues of a moving vehicle.

Just saying…..

This is a funny animal for me too get. Whenever somebody describes me they say

stuff like how I am loud, hyper, and love to joke around. This is ironic because I

have been struggling with depression for years now. Its odd that my “spirit animal” is

also the trickster and the bringer of great wisdom at the same time. To look beyond

what is clear and easy to see it a great challenge. None of my “friends” have ever

managed this. I always try and make a point to look behind peoples masks and I

think I fail more times than not, but to even bother to attempt this, even when you

don’t manage to see things as the really are. Thats the things that define us.

My boyfriend and I have been struggling with alcohol/drug addiction lately, since the

summer more with drug addiction and have been hiding it from family members as

well as friends. We’ve been going through a really rough time and want to quit. It

seems this drug of choice has us in it’s grips and no matter what we do to stay

sober, we fall back into this addiction hitting so many bottoms I cannot count! A few

days ago, in the early morning hours on one of our runs, my bf went to the

payphone to order up more drugs and just as he stepped out and walked down the

side walk did he see a coyote pass him, the coyote glanced his way but really didn’t

pay to much attention and carried on it’s way. Anyway just this morning as we were

at it again (drugs), I was getting up to go inside from the belcony and I spotted a

coyote diagonally across from me on the other side of the street as I seen the

animal it looked up and met my eyes,it didn’t look away until I went inside. We live in

the city, particularily in a rainforest near the pacific, so this could just maybe be us

seeing a coyote in it’s natural habitat or maybe these two sitings have something to

do with the dark lives we’re leading.. Anyway I had this urge iside of me to look up

any significance to seeing such an animal dibbed the trickster/shape-shifter.. to see

if it had any significance to our current struggle.. I am very hopeful that seeing this

animal will bring us good medicine, because we have been struggling for sometime

and are in need of a good miracle or blessing of such…

Get help my friend… The trickster came to you on Halloween to give you a

treat. Tell your family and friends. Find a program near you. Anything! Just

one foot in front of the other, one day at a time till you find another

landscape, another world… If you and your BF make each other worse, go

and do it on your own. Set an example for him.

I was riding my motorcycle home from Cape Cod, it was very early on a Sunday

morning, zero traffic, for some reason, I felt because it was so isolated it was ok to

stop in the middle of the road to set my xm radio and mp3 player before my ride got

non stop. A three legged coyote walked out of the woods right beside me and

looked as surprised as I was. It was healthy and strong, we just stared at each other

until it turned around and went back in the trees. I never do unsafe stuff like that on

a bike or ever, I always wonder what made me stop and stand in the middle of the

road exactly in that spot so early in the am, to meet a three legged coyote? Wow.

In 2012 I was in a car with a guy he was supposed to be my boyfriend, but he was

just a liar anyway right after we had sex for the first time I saw a coyote run past as

the jerk was falling asleep in the car. I knew it meant something when I saw the

coyote I even tried to get my now ex to look but he never saw it because it was so

quick it disappear down the street then several days later I. found out I had

herpes………. yep………… I lived with that issue for over a year and will never

forget it because I remember seeing the coyote when I was doing something I had

no business doing. However truth be told God has healed me of herpes I love Him

so much for sparing me and for healing me this is no joke. Trust me I wish I were

lying I suffered for a long time but I am glad I’m not dealing with that disease

anymore. Nevertheless I will never ever forget that mainly because of sign from that

coyote that night .

Just this evening, I was driving home from work. It was about 12:45 at night, and

there was no one else on the freeway. A coyote came running out swiftly, and

crossed my path, and I had no time to react. He was the same color as the asphalt

and it happened in an instant. I hit him with my car, even though I swerved to try and

miss him. Luckily I did not hurt myself and did not lose control of my vehicle.

However, the coyote was NOT OK. I went back to make sure it was a coyote and not

a dog. And also to see if he had any life left in him. Sadly there was blood

everywhere. I cried immediately and did not know what to do. Talking about this with

friends I was led to this site. I do not know what it means when a coyote crosses my

path and I kill it with my car by mistake. I lit a candle as soon as I was home. Asking

for forgiveness and wishing it safe passage to the next life. I am Native American as

well, so this really affected me deeply.

as the animal represents illusion and the possibilities of not taking things too

seriously… I sense you already know that all life is eternal, the coyote simply

left his body. Being dead or done is the illusion. open up to the life eternal,

even in your everyday and especially in your everyday experience. Not to

make little of our life in body but to see it as transient changing and eternal. I

also believe that the coyote spirit is now your guardian spirit. It is your helper,

and you will be able to help others with its medicne. Take heart in the circle of

life. your tears do not go unseen unoticed, spirit loves you back. blessings.

This was one of the most touching replies to what happened the other

night. This really moved me. A friend of mine said he knows how

coyotes work, and what happened was not a mistake and should not

be seen as a negative but more like a positive, that I probably helped

the coyote as much as he is helping me. And then the very next night,

he also saw a coyote run across a very populated area of the city in

the middle of the night. So many things that line up just right and I think

the positive outlooks on this, are the ones that feel the most correct.

Thank you for this perspective.

A couple years back I had a Chihuahua that I named Bats. (I

named her after Batman). She had a litter of beautiful puppies

with my other Chihuahua, Dirk. (I named him after Dirk Diggler as

well as the fact that Dirk was a German name and I wanted it to

be German). I lived in the country and one night I let the dogs

out as usual but I had to run back into the house to get

something..I don’t remember what it was… Next thing I know,

she’s gone. I know it was a coyote that killed her, and I never did

find her body. Bat symbolism- death and rebirth. Coyote

symbolism- jokester; and revealing wisdom and truth in a

dark/playful/tricky kind of way. How did I connect it? Batman and

the Joker of course.

No judgment, no fear. I love you all.

It is good that coyote’s death affected you. Never lose that. Stay connected to

all of life and seek meaning in it. Do not think of me as dead or gone… spirit

never dies. You were delayed by me and the accident. THAT was all I needed

to do to change what otherwise would have happened… so, you see? All is

forgiven. Stay true!

were seeing each other for the first time. We were driving and talking and laughing

when we saw two cyotoes in the road ahead of us. as I slowed down not to hit them

they were running in opposite directions, then looked at us and started running

together off into the woods. what an amazing experience. such symbolisum.

My friend, and i where riding our bike through the wood when we got lost we decide

to leave and go back in. while going back in right in front of us was pack of 8-12 big

coyotes were right there. My friend said lets go as he rode back out. I want to get

closer so i started getting closer, and the started coming towards me the leader

much larger than the other in the front. I decide the i should get out to i was on a

road going into the woods the had a fence behind me that we had crossed. When i

got back to my friend i looked back and the street light that was lighting them up

shut off. When we where riding my friend said take this turn and as he was saying

right at that turn the pack appeared in front of us about 100ft away.

Yes I imagine it deffinatley meant something! Sounds like an amazing

experience! Maybe they were trying to trick you? You must have felt

scared, but they did not attack. Maybe they are trying to change who

you are or set you on a course to a greater path in life

This morning my mind was running its tapes over issues when I took my coffee and

stood by the door. Right away I saw a large, healthy Coyote hunting gophers and

bouncing/pouncing in a patch of brush. Quietly with my field glasses I went to the

patio and watched. What I found was she had a pup hidden in the grass and was

teaching it the ways of the hunt. What a blessing to be in the moment and gifted by

these beings… whatever their message may be.

I was thinking about coyotes a couple of miles before I saw one last night. It crossed my path in

the road…I stopped…it stopped…then went on across…I turned around and went out of my

way not to cross that path. Was I right in this? Is he telling me something?

My marriage has been a bit rocky lately with questions of infidelity and although I’m

not a spiritual man I’ve been asking and begging for a sign and the other night I was

pretty much at rock bottom and a coyote came walking up to me stopped and

looked at me and carried on without crossing my path I’m sure it was the sign that I

was looking for but what does it mean?

I’ve been having dreams of coyotes, including shifting into one. The most recent

one was that I was in the woods, I saw a few wolf cubs, shifted into a coyote and

wandered around. Then, I came across a bear who attacked me and hunted me

down. I eventually tricked him and got away, though. Do these dreams mean

something or am I just being ridiculous?

i looked this up because yesterday me and my ex (who is my absolute

best friend in the world shares the same great love and respect for

animals as i do and who i’m trying to work things out with) found a

female coyote who got injured after falling through a bridge we did

everything we could think of but sadly there aren’t any wildlife rescue

centers around where we live so in a panic called 911 and they had to

put her down…. i just wish the asshole would’ve waited til we where far

enough away to not hear the gunshot
