Partnership Agreements
Introduction Document for Partners
England Netball
England Netball is the national governing body for England’s biggest female team sport, netball. It
oversees and is responsible for the strategic plan of the sport across the country. We are a not for
profit customer-focused sport business, aiming to deliver a first class member and participation
experience.
Work with us
Levels of participation are growing fast, we know that at least 321,200 people are playing netball on
a fortnightly basis, which has been helped by our popular and varied programmes such as Back to
Netball, Walking Netball and Netball Now. Our partnership agreement allows anyone that meets the
requirements, to deliver an England Netball programme. Our support will allow you to deliver using
our programme branding and expertise, to ensure a successful, safe and approved England Netball
session.
What programmes can you deliver?
England Netball offer a wide range of programmes, each is carefully designed to meet the needs of a
specific audience. It is this tailored approach that has consistently enabled world class Net Promoter
Scores for all programmes for many years.
Walking Netball – Walking Netball is a slower version of the game; it is netball, but at a walking
pace. It’s design involved input from physiotherapists, occupational therapists to ensure its suitable
physiologically. Women the length of the country have started playing Walking Netball for the fun,
laughter and camaraderie the social session brings, enabling brilliant mental wellbeing outcomes
too. All sessions must be delivered by a trained Walking Netball host.
Back to Netball – Put simply, it’s a fun and friendly re-introduction to netball. Running across
England more than 110,000 women have re-discovered their love for the game through Back to
Netball and realised the many benefits of getting involved. All sessions must be delivered by an
England Netball Level 2 qualified coach.
Netball Now – Netball Now is a simple, straight-forward way to play netball. It’s not a coached
session, it’s not a competition led by rules, regulations or scores recorded it is simply a session that
you turn up at, pay a small fee and play a game of netball! All sessions must be delivered by a netball
facilitator and all games must be officiated by an umpire who as a minimum has completed the C
Award workshop.
