California Crosspoint Academy’s Covid Operating Plan for the 2021-2022 school year provides parents and students with the opportunity to further their education in the learning environment best suited for their circumstances. Educational excellence is best achieved through life-on-life transformation, where students and teachers are engaged in dynamic and personal interaction in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. Ideally, this takes place through face-to-face instruction which is why CCA has chosen to begin the year with 100% in-person instruction. CCA is committed to meeting each student’s educational, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs. The Covid Operating Plan is a summary of the measures CCA is taking to promote a safe and successful school year based on the ongoing and consistent practice of five protocols:

§ health screening § social distancing § good hygiene § regular sanitizing § training

Our operational plans are based on the most recent guidance from federal, state, county, and private health and education agencies. They will be continuously modified and adapted as additional and updated guidance is received. However, it must be emphasized these measures are merely precautions and the school cannot guarantee a completely safe and sterile environment. Thank you for your understanding, patience, trust, and cooperation. We look forward to working with you to provide a safe, effective, and transformative school year!

Goals, Objectives, and Purpose

Vaccinated individuals should exercise caution and monitor for symptoms of COVID-19. All individuals entering the secure area of campus must go through the screening regimen. The only access point into the secure area shall be through the school lobby. Only staff or guests with legitimate official business to be on campus shall be issued a guest pass to enter the secure area. Students arriving on campus shall maintain social distancing as much as practicable while moving through the entry line. Before entering the secure area, each student will go through the screening regimen:

§ All passengers must pass the screening regimen before boarding.

§ Seating assignment will be established using social distancing as permitted under local regulations.

§ Passengers board from back to front and unload from front to back to avoid students passing each other.

§ No “drop in” riders. § No eating or drinking on buses. § Face coverings shall be worn at all times. § The school bus will utilize natural ventilation as much as

practicable. § Riders shall social distance while waiting to board. § Afterschool riders shall be ready to board by 3:30PM. § School busses will be cleaned and sanitized as needed.

Proper handwashing, appropriate face coverings, covering coughs and sneezes, minimizing contact with high-touch surfaces, and avoiding the sharing of personal items all make up the good habits which help prevent the spread of germs. All individuals on school property are expected to be considerate and compassionate towards others by practicing good hygiene.
