ENGINEERING SERVICESSometimes the job itself creates problems in the workplace. Hazards such as unguarded machines and inadequate fall protection systems are only abated through engineering solutions. When it comes to effective safety engineering, businesses turn to SCT to help them build a safer workplace.

Safety Engineering, Arc Flash Assessment, Containment Inspections

Safety engineering’s primary goal is managing risk thus eliminating or reducing it to acceptable levels. Increasing business and personal risk associated with sophisticated operations combined with growing scrutiny from OSHA make it more important than ever for companies to acquire assistance from safety engineering experts.

Specializing in the areas of Environmental, Structual, Electrical, Mechanical, and Coating engineering, SCT’s staff of professionals work with clients from initial concept to project completion to ensure the job is done right the first time.

Richard Lombardi, a licensed Professional Engineer with more than 30 years experience working with businesses to eliminate workplace hazards, leads SCT’s Safety Engineering Department. With a staff of NACE-certified coating inspectors and other certified technicians, Mr. Lombardi works with clients to meet all safety engineering needs.

Additionally, SCT is happy to have the machine guarding expertise of James Washman, a former OSHA Compliance Officer and a nationally known expert on machine guarding on staff. When clients need advice on proper machine guarding, Mr. Washam basically wrote the OSHA standard.

SCT’s goal is to save customers time and money all while reducing risk and increasing efficiency in the workplace. Design it, build it and maintain it the right way with SCT.
